Maybe it has been done earlier in the thread but Neville's stumping was such a prick move. We must seriously suck if we are that desperate to get a wicket

What? The ball was still in play, the batsman was lazy as shit and deserved what he got

f**k off!!!! As far as Im concerned, that is a dead ball. The batsman played the ball and didn't go for a run. Very much against the spirit of the game.

you could say that about any stumping couldn't you?

was Neville obligated to give him a warning? Or just not worry about it ?

Mate, the ball was definitely not dead. It was a case of poor match awareness from the batsman and Nevill took advantage of that

Smith decides to bowl the last over of the day himself when Starc was available and Sri Lanka are 8 wickets down. Goes for 9 runs. Baffling.

Sri Lanka will probably bat as long as they can tomorrow going into day 5 with a 288 run lead, up 2-0 in the series no need to take risks.

Reminds me of an old domestic game in NZ. The Auckland WK took the ball, threw his head back as if the ball had gone through for byes, even started to turn around. Batsman took off, nek minnit, gone as the ball was in his gloves the whole time.

Different to today's incident, but those wicketkeeprs are cheeky buggers. Must be inbuilt into them. Batsman have to be on their game.

Personally I'd be filthy at the batsman for being such a complete muppet...There was absolutely nothing wrong with it whatsoever

Pretty much this, the guy is an opening batsman not a rookie tailender. Deserves what he gets for being asleep.

Im pretty sure Neville almost had another one the same way few overs later, umpires didn't refer it for a look, but bloody hell it was close, not sure who the batsman was at the time

Anyhow, today.

What do we reckon Australia will end up scoring? Will we get up for a win? will it be a draw? Or the more likely event SL win by x amount of runs

I say we make between 210-230 runs

draw coming up and we slip to no 3 in the ranking which is still a bit flattering considering our performance

Aussies have always had their questionable ones before (Haddin's gloves) but I don't think this was one of them. Batsman played a shot and clumsily lifted his foot only a second or two later. It was poor batting.

South Africa will slip 7th if we lose or draw this test
So There's an upside to everything.

Sri Lanka declare with a 323 run lead.
If their tail can survive then surely the greatest batsman in the history of forever - Dave Warner can bat out the day, Just needs some support and he'll see us through for the draw at least.

Credit where credits due. Warner/Marsh looking good so far.
Survived 15 overs and have some runs on the board as well. If we can make it to lunch with no wickets down, we might just have half a chance of not losing the game.

Sri Lanka waste both reviews. Things looking up perhaps.
