They didn't play sunburn in Sydney?? You 100% sure about that??

My GF and the Muse forums said otherwise.... Although it would make me feel a bit better if they were mistaken since they definitely didn't play any of it in Melbourne

Sounds similar to the one they played in January when I saw them at The Hordern - but Exo-Politics (one of my favourite songs from Black Holes and Revelations) was also played.

The DVD will be called "The Haarp Tour: Live From Wembley", and from what I've read, will have a similar playlist. It's not listed on the sanity website yet, but it's slated for a December release.

Ideal Christmas present for me... :)

I had a very close family friend's 21st on Saturday so I wasn't able to see them in Sydney..... Instead I bought tickets to the Melbourne show and took Thurs-Fri off work and drove down.

The set list from Melbourne??

1. Take a Bow
2. Map of the Problematique
3. New Born
4. Butterflies & Hurricanes
5. Micro Cuts
6. Supermassive Black Hole
7. Feeling Good
8. Apocalypse Please
9. Soldier's Poem
10. Invincible
11. Hysteria
12. Fury
13. Starlight
14. Time Is Running Out
15. Stockholm Syndrome + Dead Star (riff) + The Groove (riff)
Encore
16. Plug In Baby + The Groove(riff)
17. Knights of Cydonia

Please note the severe lack of Citizen Erased, Ruled By Secrecy and ANY SONG FROM SHOWBIZ. Only 1 encore as well....

It seems even Muse know that Melbourne is an utter sh*thole and not worth their A material. Either way I left feeling very unhappy.

Huh, what is their A material then? The brisbane set was basically the same, except i don't remember "Appocalypse please". I thought it was a great set, "Sunburn" or "Cave" would have been nice i guess.

Their A material would include:

- Showbiz
- Citizen Erased
- Thoughts of a dying atheist
- Muscle Museum
- Sunburn
- Ruled by Secrecy

It would not include:

- Feeling Good
- time is running out
- Starlight
- Map of the Problematique

Now I actually really like the songs above (besides feeling good), I just would rather they played some of their other songs. I have seen them 4 times in the past 12 months and the sets varied by only 1 or 2 songs.

I also got quite annoyed that a tour which was promoted as saying they would be playing songs from ALL their albums consisted on not a single song from Showbiz

Sunburn wasn't played in Sydney or Brisbane. Ruled By Secrecy was after Feeling Good both nights. Matt had piano probs in Melbourne, hence no RBS there, just AP.

Went to Brisbane and their performance was good, but the crowd was sh*te. They were into it, but they just don't know how to rock. Bursting the balloons after 15 seconds ruined Matt's vibe. He glared at the people afterwards. Sydney by far the best of the East Coast shows and I saw all 3 of them. Probably had something to do with Bliss and the 2 encores.

Assassin would've been an apt selection given the election, but it was totally left out. Bliss should also be a staple. TIRO and Starlight work rather well live. Map will be cut from the next tour for sure.

HAARP has been delayed until at least February, and that's in the Northern Hemisphere only at this stage.

What piano problems were they having in melbourne??

He played Muscle Museum without a problem....

I often wonder what the reaction to those balloons overseas is.... they get popped within a minute of so here, but seem to last a lot longer in the hullaballoo DVD.

TIRO and starlight go fine live, and I admit Starlight is off their new album so clearly it will be there for a while, but TIRO is getting old, and IMO wouldn't be any better for the crowd than any of the songs I listed.

What was I thinking....

I meant Butterflies and Hurricanes, haha!

If it was problems with the piano distortion then its still stupid melbourne's sucky fault that they did not play that song then.

whats wrong with map of problematique? one of their best songs imo, better than starlight or supermassive black hole. The drums in that song are unbeleivable.
