To be honest Tommy, I dont think some of those players you mentioned will make it to Seth Efrica let alone the next Ashes series, we've got a few spots we need to strengthen in our batting line up

Deck chairs on the Titanic tbh. A generation of cricketers raised on roads, doesn't matter who you pick for a tour of a country where the ball moves around

maybe so but I dont think Bancroft is up to it, he has technique problems, and Oozie getting out flashing at a straight ball earlier sort of tells me he cant handle a moving ball

I know what you are saying but we can do better I think and the last dead rubber is an opportunity to try some newbies although there is talk that SOK may play the last test in Sydney

I dont mind the 'you're either getting better or getting worse' approach. Even better if we actually find someone who makes the position theirs for many years.

If you are out of form / and or simply a plotter, then at least technique can assist you in grinding out a score ( see A. Cook).

Renshaw should never, ever have been dropped.
If Bancrofts' weight of runs demanded selection, then the "vacant" 6 was his spot, to ease him into it.

The way it stands now, Renshaw's head is cooked, Khwaha the same, and Bancroft seriously not far behind.
Good job selectors.

These gimps better see out tomorrow, imagine losing by an innings after being given a reprieve by way of rain.

I don't see them carrying the way we've played this test into Sydney though, Lehmann and Smith should be tearing into them and making sure 4-0 is on.

I’ve got more experience facing a moving ball by facing a swing king with 8 beers under my belt on Boxing Day than most of this Aussie side.

I got a double quiney facing my mother-in-law with the half-taped tennis ball, after 8 beers on Xmas day.
We should be in line for selection for the SA tour.

I reckon I’m at least the 2nd best keeper at my club so I calls dibs on the keepers spot.

Its not just the roads. First class pitches arent as flat as Australian test grounds. Its a strange attitude to cricket and just a lack of talent

For example nine was death riding Smith and Warner for batting slow and a lot of fans seemed to be whinging about it too. They were batting for the conditions (they knew rain was coming) and the English tactics (they were themselves negative)

As for a lack of talent its hard to deny this. Imagine how this summer would have gone if smith broke his arm before the gabba test.

Did I read that all 3 shield games at the G this year have been draws ?
Possibly weather related issues though.
