We really need to play a spinner at the MCG, even if they give us a green wicket there won't be as much bounce on a drop in pitch IMO.

Taylor's the only one of those, that's half decent, the rest would struggle to make it out of Sydney grade cricket.

Shows of your ignorance of world cricket really considering Ryder averages close to 50 which is better then most your batsmen.

Anyway of Hilfenhaus like it has been discussed in the commentary he needs to go wider on the crease and start angling the ball into the batsmen then swinging it away not starting on a straight line outside off and swinging further away.

Ryder and Vettori are the only decent kiwis going around.

Taylor is good for a 30 or 40 and then has the usual brain explosion and gets out.

Anyways, I hope Khawaja's little knock in the shield game is getting noticed.
He's a much better number 6 than Smith is. And it look's unlikely that Smith will bowl much.

I wasn't all that fussed with Hilfy.

6 identical balls every over, too predictable, and too easy to leave

he needs a straight ball or at least a seamer that can cut in, other wise they'll just leave him all day

he could also do with bowling wider from the crease and angling in at the batsman so he can at least make them play, I'm sure the great Troy Cooley can sort him out

I am tipping Hughes and Clarke to make dashing tons on the first day of the Boxing day test.

If Khawaja comes in for Punter he'll bat at 3 imo, they really dont like to screw with our batting order for some reason

Hughes isn't a test batsman's a-hole and has been figured out... i almost feel sorry for him that he is going to be made to look like a nuffie again infront of 90,000 people.

Can Hughes make anything other than a streaky dashing ton? He's possibly the worst Australian opener since... well, maybe Hilditch?

never said I loved him, just pointing out his average

we've had alot of openers since Hildich who haven't averaged 50, which pretty much proved you wrong
