Whilst I can agree the first innings was not up to standard, was a bit in the road early, but we batted badly, the VFL pitch will prove to be a road.

Yeah I think England need to really come out and throw the bat at it for a hour or so and declare. Need to leave as much time as possible because the Aussies could grind out 400-500 and there may be some more time lost to rain.

But back to the test match, England should declare after an hour tomorrow, and then huge amounts of pressure comes on Hughes, Ponting, Clarke. Two of them at least have to make a good score.

England will bat on and will no doubt lead by over 500.

Sadly, they will bowl the Aussies out without two many troubles and the Ashes will be gone.

England are a far superior team overall, albeit the Aussie selectors have been terrible. Even had the selectors picked a better balanced side England would still have been far too good.

Those who backed England to win 3-1 would be feeling pretty confident at the moment and only rain in Sydney I suspect will prevent them winning by this margin.

I do believe on this pitch Australian will draw this game after a complete and utter failure in the first innings.
