You also labelled Hayden a flat track bully. Him and Warner are better than that imo-though Dave needs hundreds in English conditions.

And I'm hardly alone on that opinion.

One series in India doesn't make up for his abject inability to play the moving ball IMO. He was better than some openers against spin, but remarkably poor against half decent swing bowling.

Anyway it's not a discussion that needs to be rehashed.

India deserving series winners we were outclassed in the last 2 tests. Hope the selectors will take notice of the batting woes but off course they won’t.

the old "flat track" movement, Warner would walk into any test team in world cricket, his record is outstanding, 21 100's at an average just shy of 50

Once you become a part of the "flat track bully" movement you are considered one of the elite for mine, critics try to pull apart where and when you scored your runs ignoring the fact that you scored them to begin with, we would've given tooth and nail to have a flat track bully capable of scoring a 100 in this series

I don’t know about flat track bully, but he clearly prefers the bouncy wickets of Australia. His record away from home is 24 runs per innings less at 35. Not terrible for an opener, but not world class either.

Lol flicked over to see what was happening, Warnie was seriously trying to suggest Yasir Shah as the best spinner in the world.

How good was it when they came here and Warne was fapping all over him and he bowls defensive leg side shit all series so Warne has a go at their captain instead.

It's funny the number of Aussies who called Graeme Smith a flat track bully quite happily, but then try and spin it when someone says the same about an Aussie flat track bully. Not suggesting anyone here was guilty of it specifically but I certainly remember a lot of posts to that effect.

Smith was a helluva lot tougher and more rounded as a player than some of the names mentioned here in terms of Aussie players. In fact his average increased markedly away from home.

Haha yeah that was awesome. Warnie was a great cricketer, but it's very easy to see why he never got the Aussie captaincy.

Yasir is a very good player to be fair. But he's limited, and bowls quite a few bad balls as all but the superstar leggies tend to do, and he gets badly exposed in conditions that aren't favourable. Ergo he's next tier down from your Lyon and even Ashwin level guys

Well the stats are much worse for Marsh. Things are particularly relative at the moment, Warner is a walk up start. Shaun Marsh output for the last 2 years could be achieved by a rookie.
Hey, Shaun is the best player in his family, got dad covered by 1.5 on average and 2 more centuries. Got little bro covered too.
