I’m surrounded by a room, mixed ages (teens, twenty somethings 40,50,70 year olds) with mixed cricket knowledge and I’ve not seen two dozen people enthralled, electrified and utterly galvanised like this for ages. When Kohli hit Our Sam, it was like Kohli hit em all. Sure, it’s one innings but the swagger, joy and energy probably has just given Australian cricket a massive jolt. And 5-10 mins after being out, Sam’s out there giving autographs and selfies. I hope him well for many years to come.
