And the Aussies have scrapped a draw from there past 2 indian test tours and its finished 2-1 after 4 tests.

I reckon 2017 was the best opportunity we may ever have to winning a series over there since 2004.

We won the 1st test on that dustbowl in Pune when SOK took 12fa.

We had India on the rack in the 2nd test a decent first innings lead of close to 100 but let it slip. Chasing 180 odd to win we got rolled for 120 odd.

3rd Test we toughed out a draw batting the whole final day to save a test.

Then the last test on a nice deck in Dharamshala without Kohli we just should have scored 400-500 but blew it batting first. Even though Smudge got another 100.

Not a chance in hell.

They would have prepared a standard Indian goat track that forced a result in 2 days - said result would probably weigh heavily on who won the toss. But from memory they needed a drawn series at a minimum to make the WTC final or did they need a win?
