Anyone talking that knock down by blaming the ground or the pitch is robbing de Villiers of his genius....

Without a doubt....total genius.
In saying that, I do not think there is a more batsman friendly international pitch on Eath than Wanderers.
Nobody watching the game could be knocking him. He would have hit most of his 6's at the MCG. He was hitting perfect yorkers for 4 with ease.
lol no,everybody already knew he was the best batsmen in the world even before this game, this ground should be banned.
Cricket should be banned at this ground, disgraceful
Why? There's nothing wrong with the odd batsman friendly ODI pitch, particularly if both sides are a good chance of chasing big scores. The Windies aren't, obviously....
De Villiers is simply a genius who made the wicket look flatter than it was, and I can guarantee that purely because there is no wicket on earth as flat as he made that pitch look.
Just a week ago, they played a 20/20 game on that same pitch. South Africa posted a total of 240+. In reply, the West Indies ran down that total WITH EASE.
The knock was absolutely brilliant, no doubt. But to say he'd have the same success on a pitch like the MCG is absolute bullshit.
it doesn't matter if this was being played at north sydney oval, you still have to hit the f**king ball
