Parra have the biggest chance to be surprise, because their halves and fullback are unpredictable as.

Now, but last year, years before. when most of those players were injured he should have been given a run. And as far as right now. Hayne & Jennings didnt play well last year and if they play the same this year Merritt should be over them.
And Merritt played better than everyone Uate last season, but wasnt picked.

I don't think it's that simple. Lyon, the Morris brothers, Idris, Stewart etc will all come into contention. That just pushes Merritt back on the waiting list even further though.

You're right Hayne didn't play his best last year, however please point out an Origin game where Hayne has ever let the Blues down. Even some of the biggest Hayne haters going around will tell you he has never let NSW down, and has always managed to be one of our best players whether it be at Fullback, on the Wing, or in the Centres, if you seriously think Merritt can do the same then by all means, drop Hayne for him, if not then shut up and accept the fact that Merritt is simply a great club player and as Eels Dude has pointed out, there is a whole list of other players apart from the six I mentioned who would get a go ahead of Merritt.
