Hes not setting the world on fire. But every year we pick players out of position, out of form, or on a name due to so many injuries, yet we dont pick the guy who scores alot of tries and is a good finisher despite the gif shown before, because he plays for souths and because idiots like yourself are oblivious.
With all the injuries that have hit the NSW backline over the last 6 years, he should have had several runs.

There is no way unless NSW Gets hit by a plague that he will get a run this year. As ParraPride was right with the players he listed. They are all ahead of Merritt. Except Jennings who unless he picks up some 2010 form, he will get picked on name alone.
Then youve got Lyon, the Morris brothers, Idris, Stewart who eels dude mentioned.
Lyon is retired. Morris brothers are both coming back from injury and both sucked last year anyways. Idris is a f**king myth. And Stewart wont be picked on the wing, but yeah he would be ahead of merritt.

The reason why NSW has been sucking for so long is the selection of name and hype.
