5TH ASHES TEST: England v Australia at The Oval Aug 21-25, 2013

Yeah, he's had some unplayable deliveries though, and looked in reasonably good touch throughout. I'm guessing the two innings before his most recent 10 would have been his 100 and 90 in India too.

incorrect guess, his 2 recent test innings outside the recent 10 is 16 and 91. We can go back further right back to his test debut if you like?

He is by far our best batsman, and when he doesn't get a score, we have pretty much no chance to win. I think we miss someone like Hussey or even Katich who both can play long innings and ease some pressure off Clarke. Guys like Watson and Hughes were supposed to step up, the talk was there, well that hasn't worked out too well

Hughes batting at 3 and Khawaja at 6 tells you all you need to know about the current pecking order.

Then Hughes got 30, Khawaja got 4.

Hughes coming back into the team is a pretty safe bet at this point.

Are you getting paid for your endless Hughes bullshit? That's the only thing that could justify it, that you are some kind of professional troll, if there is such a thing. If not then you either really are an obsessed stalker fan or just a very sick amateur troll who gets some kind of sick pleasure out of annoying people.

Seriously, how many hours of your life have you wasted crapping on about Phil farkin Hughes? You need help buddy. I am not kidding.

I am not obsessed in Phil Hughes or anyone else. I am simply a passionate fan of Australian test cricket and I feel the test team is better with him in it. Simple as that.

Here's an exercise for you. Go back through all the cricket threads, find all your Phil Hughes posts and estimate how much time you've spent writing about him. You seem smart enough to do that. No doubt it will run to many hundreds of hours. Then take your findings to a mental health professional. See what they think. Go on. It's for your own good.

Britains The Telegraph newspaper is saying he will be batting #3 in this test. I think discussing him here is very relevant.

Might as well give him a hit now that the series is over. He might even jag some runs now the pressure is off. Doubt it though.

Very happy if the news is true and Hughes is back. Should never have been dropped. But I feel for Khawaja. I'd have him over Warner.

Both are ridiculous selections if true. Scissorhands is not a serious option for a long term batting spot although they might be selecting him for his spectacular bowling  If Bird is dropped after two games for Starkers than it is an absolute joke.

Heard rumours of Wade in for Khawaja  and Starc in for Bird :lol:

f**ks sake

Would have loved to have seen Bird get another gallop with a bit of game fitness under his belt, would be better for it.

So Starc plays in the 1st , 3rd and 5th ashes tests. Decided pre series?

Wade as batsman isn't a bad thing, he might do well without the keeping duties

If anyone suggests Wade (with his mighty first class average of 39 and 6 tons in 68 matches) is worthy of being a test batsman ahead of Hughes or Khawaja or Cowan or ANY HALF DECENT FIRST CLASS BAT IN AUSTRALIA, they are not even trying to hide their trolling.

They are f**ked in the head.

@CricketAus 38s James Faulkner will make his Test debut tomorrow at The Oval, replacing Usman Khawaja. Starc in for Bird the only other change #Ashes
And this isn't about just Hughes. James f**king Faulkner replacing Khawaja. A batting lineup that is already too short and they replace a batsman with a mediocre all rounder?

That is so geniused. Khawaja is a million times better than Faulker. So is Cowan.

They have lost the plot.

We haven't been batting well enough so now we'll have Haddin at #6. This is unexplainable geniusation.
