This can't be the fast bowling trio that goes to Sri Lanka in August. The Sri Lankan batsman will destroy this attack.

The Bangladeshians would destroy this attack ... hmmm actually the awesome Afghanistanians would destroy this insipid bowling attack.

But we must trust our moronic selectors.

why are we bowling at middle and leg with the occasional short wide sh*t in between

its obviously not the game plan but it highlights the lack of control these guys have

this is rubbish on a pitch that should suit our bowlers
because that's what they do.

Siddle is the worst. When he pitches up and swings the ball, he is unplayable.

He only does this once every 6-8 innings though. Hilfenhaus is clearly trying to bowl as fast as he possibly can, which negates everything he's good at (Swing).

Johnson will either be the worlds best or worst.

He's more often the latter than the former.

Our only seemingly consistent bowler is carting the drinks.

Hopefully the likes of Cutting, Copeland and George get a look in, but if Ponting stays on, nothing will change.

We are bowling short because the Saffers had success bowling short to the Poms a few series ago. And our moronic coaching staff decided this should be our bowling strategy too.
it would work for us if he had quick bowlers who knew how to bowl short properly.

Thats the difference between the saffers and us.

Hilfy bowling trash FFS. Wish Bollinger played. Good move from Clarke to give Johnson the new pill shame he didn't jag a wicket. Really need to take some wickets I am over watching the Poms bat.

Is this our worst bowling attack in history???

Thank you selectors
Thank you coaching staff
It's been worse, but this is down to what you just suggested, terrible selections, and downright horrible coaching/tactics
To fix the current mess
James Sutherland  thanks for hiring/extending contracts of the above mentioned selectors and coaching staff.
Coaching staff, selectors & Greg Chappell

The way some you talk makes it seem like we have Glenn McGrath running around in state cricket not getting a deserved oppurtunity.
I would rate Greg Campbell, Terry Alderman, Merv Hughes, Craig mcDermott, Paul Reiffel, Adam Dale, Andy Bichel, Michael Kasprowicz, Damien Fleming, Brett Lee, Greg matthews, Tim May, Stuart MacGill, Michael Bevan, Stuart Clark and Jason Gillespie all above Siddle, Johnson, Smith, Doherty, Beer, North and Hilfenhaus.

Bollinger would be somewhere in the lower half of the list of former players I mentioned.

Point is that these are the worst bowlers we've had in a long long time. They aren't being compared to McGrath, but to all previous test bowlers over the past 30 odd years.

Simply put, they don't stack up. These guys are on a par with Scott Muller.

Anyone else glad to see the back of the great, Troy Cooley?
He's about as useful as Neilsen and Hildud. Some massive changes are needed in Australian cricket. Starting with Sutherland and ending with the coaching staff and selectors.

funny how everyone wanted Cooley after the 2005 Ashes series loss when he was the England bowling coach

A complete over haul of coaches and selectors is a must. We need to start building towards the next Ashes now. Whoever decided Nielsen needed a 3 year contract extension needs a bullet.
