They're going to give it to Johnson regardless, the commentators have such a whopping great hard on for him.

I'm not saying he's not been good - he's frankly been f**king amazing - but Haddin has dragged Australia kicking and screaming out of the furnace in all five tests.

I agree that Haddin's contribution, in the context of the series, has been greater. However, no way will whoever is responsible for giving the award will give the Man of the Series award to a player other than Mitchell Johnson solely on the basis of his 3 MOTM awards in the series.

MOTS has to go to Johnson.
Haddin has done well and is just behind Johnson, but Johnson has had the England batting lineup wearing nappies to the crease since the first game. He has single handedly put England on the back foot from the get go every innings they have had.

So hard to choose between the two. Both men have played basically as well as they possibly could for their respective roles...

Terrible full bunger.

You can't pick a batsman who bowls as your front line turner. Did they not see what happened to us with White?

My yardstick is could either of them done what they did without the other?

Haddin - yes.
Johnson - probably not.

One of the commentators earlier in the series made the point that if Haddin was in the team as a batsman only he probably would have won the MOTM awards instead of Johnson.

New rule:

If any player on the field played for St. Kilda, Victoria or Hampshire, Shane Warne is barred from the commentary box.

according to Henry on ABC grandstand Hads is the one rumoured to be retiring.

He spoke to the selectors and they have asked him to rethink it.

I dont think we'd be 4 zip up without him

Time to rethink Hads

Maybe we've won too well? If we'd lost or scraped home he'd be sticking around but he feels it'll never get any better than this so he's bowing out?

I seriously hope not. No one else is anywhere near his level.
