Only taken four Tests to realise their top order was completely out if wack. Bell should have been at three from the start. Anyway, they are so out of form now it doesn't matter.
Rarely has a bowler been used as terribly as Panesar was in Melbourne.
Have to feel sorry for the bloke
Probably best to rest everyone. In fact, f**k it - let's just boycott the Test.
Wouldn't want anyone stubbing a toe.
Hope Harris can play, but I'd be seriously looking after him, he is seriously good, for mine only Steyn and Philander better (I still have questions over Mr Slave)
The Daily Mail is reporting that Ballance and Borthwick are likely to come in for Carberry and Panesar, with Root to open and Bell to three.
No offence but there is no more disreputable source than the Mail online.
you do, but then watching him field he probably annoys the shit out of any captain...
strange one, very good bowler, hopeless but at least gutsy with the bat, but his fielding is truly beyond a joke
Having watched Carberry, I really can't work that one out - I know Warne's been sucking his dick endlessly but terribly limited and flawed (Warne does seem to be a terrible judge of cricketers btw, he's talked up Carberry and Beer no end, and Glenn Maxwell/Phil WilliamGilbertGrace aside, I am not sure I have seen to worse test cricketers), and while gutsy and doing a job I really don't see what Compton did so wrong... Having Root at 6 is a good idea while he develops, but at the end of the day he's an opener, and offers so much more than Carberry...
That said, the whole English tour from selections on has been f**ked... I'd be shocked if it's not 5-0

Yeah you're right, just like I'm sure Watson is waking up in cold sweats about wanting Phil WilliamGilbertGrace' record smh

Warne is a horrible judge of cricketers. I always thought he would have made a brilliant captain, but if his commentary is anything to go the selectors made the right decision.
And what was going on after the Lee/Piers thing? He could not have sucked up Piers any more than he did. It was seriously cringe-worthy.
Australia entered the Ashes series in fifth position on the ICC's table with 101 ratings points, but will finish in third place above England if they do not lose in the SCG Test starting on Friday.
