England hopefully just setting themselves up for more embarrassment when they get nowhere near a potentially winnable target. They don’t deserve to win a test match and I will be annoyed if they do.

I don't like the night watchman in a normal Test match, except in certain circumstances.

I think it's fine in a day night test. The conditions change so much between now and tomorrow that if you can protect a batsman, why not? It's probably too early, agreed. But looking at what's going on out there, what difference does it make if Boland and even Lyon both go out there, face 12 balls each now or do it tomorrow night?

At least if they do it tonight they let the bats start tomorrow. Honestly I wouldn't have sent Boland out with 20 mins to play but if he gets us into the last ten I'd genuinely send Lyon out as well.
Lyon must have been in the Loo when Cummins/Langer were looking for a night watchman

Just realised this was still on while scrolling through the site, so glad i decided to watch the Adelaide tennis men's final instead of this crap.

Would have liked to lose no wickets obviously, but in the circumstances that's not a bad outcome. Warner and Labs got out pretty poorly, Uzi got a deadset snorter.

40 odd added to the lead with Smith still there and the two scorers from the first innings to come tomorrow.

Get a Kokk up ya!!

Its funny, watched Lyon whack his 31 earlier then saw England 2 /50 and forgot it was a day / night test, then scrolling through this site i was trying to work out why Labuschane was being mentioned then realised that England must have collapsed again then Australia openers again died in the ass.

It could well be over tomorrow this test.

You'd have to think that with Smith, Head & Green still able to bat we could push a lead of towards 250, which given this pitch, and England's abysmal batting lineupp, could see the game toast by dinner tomorrow night
