At the beginning of last year I would have said yes, since the layoff last season he is not playing in his natural position.

Comparing his passing and kicking to the current halves, he is well in front

From what I've seen of Kris Keating I haven't really been convinced with his kicking and passing game. To me it seems his strengths are taking on the line and support play. I've seen his kicks get charged down in more than one game as well.

Luca, you may be correct, but we need to upgrade the 7, there is no one in the lower grades that I can see.

Hagan let our halves walk to keep Finch (read Hodkinson and Maloney), and our recruitment has been woeful at that position, Kk is probably the more long term solution as he at least has some upside. To think Tim Smith called the club and asked for a chance and would start at Wenty to get his game right.

I am not comfortable with the way things are going, and just want to voice my opinion

and out of all the players you mentioned the bloke who's playing better than all of them is actually B Finch...

btw, just heard the coach say at the press cnference and I quote "these are the ones that need to get us out of it"

forget about changes, unless it's forced it aint happening..

Mate you can't keep blaming Hagen for having no halves. Ando is the one who preferred Robson and rejected both Hodkinson and Smith this season and Robson keeps being selected at half by Anderson so direct your anger at him.

He's playing well because he isn't the main playmaker anymore. Even so, in some of the Storm games this year he hasn't lost the ability to murder sets (e.g. kicking a grubber dead) so I wouldn't lose too much sleep over it.

Robson was diabolical last night but I have a feeling that Ando will not drop him.

and atm he's still twice the player than our current 6 and 7 and we're making excuses as to why he's playing well? I thought he was never capable of playing well..

Hodkinson and Maloney were let go before Anderson arrived, and I am making the point that coaches even when having left can still impact on your results.

How many games like that do we have to endure before changes are made?

This is my first post and I'm sure you's will not really take into account what I say but I have to start somewhere.

I think some changes need to be made immediately, I think Robson needs to be replaced by Mortimer at 7, KK to move into 5/8 and I think Mitchell needs to be given ago. We lack spark from dummy half and after watching the way Farah played today if we had a spark like that our forwards would improve enormously. I also believe Cayless time is up he is too slow and has no impact on the game. Poore is getting smashed IMO and almost everytime he is put on his back, He needs to run alot harder and needs to work on it. Those who say or think Tahu or Mateo need to be dropped after yesterday's performance is ludacris IMO. Tahu needs to be given time as he is just coming back to the NRL, I'm not defending him but if he hasn't improved in defence in the next 3-5 weeks then MAYBE we should consider dropping him to Wenty. Mateo had one bad game last night, Doesn't mean he needs to be dropped to Wenty, IMO he has enormous potential and when he reaches it and when his team mates run with him and support him he will always pop it and create so many try scoring opportunities.

Sorry if I have gone a bit off topic but IMO those changes need to be made and these thoughts need to be considered. We all have our own opinions and that's entirely understandable and maybe some may agree.

I think if you put him in our team next week he would look just like Robson, no better and no worse.

He does well down there because Melb does suit him with Cronk and Smith running the show, was a good career move for him and and best for him if he stays there.

as mentioned in another thread, Anthony Mitchell showed me nothing today to sugest that we should give him a go, infact he didn't even play most of the 2nd half..but that may well be a tactic to rest him for monday, so what would I know??

I'm aware of that but an equally bad decision which deserves just as much criticism is the rejection of Hodkinson and Smith for peanuts this season.

welcome aboard djay.....i agree with what you have to say especially in regards to our dummy half.a good dummy half is the main reason teams can get their forward packs rolloing forward, our hooker is half asleep so our forwards are not getting a roll on..

Just watched the press conference. I cannot believe how calm Anderson was. Maybe he was just being a good Catholic boy and forgiving and all seeing it is Easter.
