What a start to the year for the mighty storm.

I think every club in the NRL should look up to this club and admire how they do it season in season out over the last couple years and especially this year what a impressive start.

Not only can they win big but they can grind out wins just like they did against bulldogs.

It must be in the winning culture at the club and the hard off season training they do as when you look at the team besides the big 3 the team is pretty much young kids and guys who could not get a run at another club.

Just having a lot at the forward pack guys like norrie , ryles and guys in the backs that they have bought in chambers , blair etc all these other guys that they have picked up over the last 2 seasons that no one else wanted and make them look very good.

Everyone on the team knows their job and does not do too much or to little they are all soldiers and they let the commanders run the show in ( smith , cronk and slater )

id almost rather follow a rubbish team like the titans, they never suffer from incessant tall poppy syndrome that this forum loves so much.

the game thread yesterday featured some commentary about the game, from fans of both teams, and a huge amount of butt hurt from dragons, eels and manly fans.

i honestly think there are supporters who lose sleep over melbourne, and would rather the NRL shut the club down and quit melbourne altogether, execute the players, and return to sydney and brisbane clubs only.

Actually I'd prefer them to kill off the Storm and start a new club in Melbourne with no connection to John Ribot, Sewer League, or salary cap rorting. And this time do it without sacrificing any traditional clubs on the altar of "Vision".

p.s. and for f**k's sake, find a better jersey colour than purple next time. :p

The thing ive noticed, everything else aside, is the Storm doing everything right. All the small stuff they do correctly. Every player seems to know exactly where they have to be and when.Every player is looking out for his mates. No tall poppies. Extremely well coached. Hate em.

respect them immensely. they are clearly out to prove a point and get one of the premierships back that they would feel they have lost. i love watching them play every week aside from the weeks they play the Knights. they're the best team in the comp by a fair margin - in a tier of their own. their grubbiness is, unfortunately, also unmatched in the NRL... which makes them very easy to hate.

so yeah, i respect and hate them equally. the sad part is i don't even think they need the grubbiness anymore, they could blow teams off the park comfortably without it.

Melbourne are very deserved competition leaders. They obviously train to be the best and are putting in the hard yards.

Only a few coaches know how to keep their teams on top for extended periods. Craig Bellamy's leadership and understanding of the game is exceptional.

You're a Melbourne fan, I don't expect you to get it. Your club has never had to fight on a level playing field. And your club has no history.

my club was founded in 1997, your club was founded in 1998?

the two clubs who merged to form your club had some history, but that history belongs to those clubs, not your new club
