You are right there...... Our big names seem to be paticulary resilient (knock on wood) Cam Smith in paticular seems to be immune to major injuries....

Canberra was our second toughest assignment Bulldogs game was the first that match was really tough.

I really would love to see a fully healthy Canberra side in action... So much potential but between you're Coach and Injuries I doubt we will see it anytime soon :(

Ah yes I forgot about that Doggies game for a second.

But yeah i'd kill to have the Storm's injury luck......you probably couldn't even call it luck.

The Storms best players seem to NEVER get injured (well Slater broke his collar bone for AUS but didn't miss a game for the Storm. I know Cronk missed a couple games late last year).

There is a mad keen Storm supporter here at work and I often remark this to him. Realistically you would think they would be shot if 2 out of the big 3 got injured, but it never seems to happen.

Yes, the Storm have enjoyed an absolutely remarkable run with the lack of injuries to their key men. it's quite astounding, actually. most teams have a key bloke or 2 go down every year.

And you're free to interpret that however you want.

This, however, has much less wiggle room:

Now take a deep breath, get over it and move on to 2012, a season with much promise but nothing in the bag yet.

Are Storm still being funded by News Limited??? Also how pathetic that NEWS didn't know that the Storm were systematically rorting the cap.....

2008 null & void, 5 years of results wiped, you can't pick & choose which results stand, ALL our games from 2006-2010 are non events, including our premierships and yours, sorry. Live in the past if it helps but right here right now were 8-0 and running first and your mob just lost to the wooden spoon holders at your "fortress" Lol next!

You can't seriously be that stupid can you?

If a team is good enough to win the premiership even when someone else is cheating then they are valid premiers. Brisbane and Manly's premierships in 2006 and 2008 respectively are as valid as any other in the history of the game and if anything are more enviable given they had to beat cheats to win. It's bad enough that 2007 and 2009 had to be wiped from the records, you can't try to remove the achievements of other clubs based on your clubs cheating.

Take 4 internationals out of any team and they'll struggle. Manly have been poor but they will come good. Gloating in April has never done anyone favours.

Did you watch the game? Manly played a focused, intense, almost flawless game. They applied pressure in the first half and then once the score started to creep up they let loose and momentum just kept piling pressure on Melbourne.

Broncos2010, you sir are a traitor.
Glad he's jumped ship!

The Storm were certainly in trouble for most of the game yesterday with the Warriors forwards clearly gaining the battle.

But credit to the big three, who certainly have plenty of footy smarts, and once they found that weak spot (left edge defense), they kept going at it and got the cookies.
Needless to say that Inu majorly contributed to a lopsided score that doesn't reflect at all the balance of power on the paddock.

Like Perverse, I also hate them for their grubbiness, but respect to their achievements and resilience after the deserved punishment they got.

As for their record this season, the fact they struggled most against teams with a strong forward pack, like the Raiders and Warriors, makes me think that Dragons, Sharks, Manly and Brisbane may have their measure, because they have a strong defense to go with a dominant forward pack...
