The only logical reasons for not seeing a difference are:
- Blind and/or terrible eye sight
- SD television set.
- Poorly setup HDTV set (ie. running over composite which is incapable of HD resolotuions)
The clarity and detail on FoxSports HD is just gorgeous. Altering the contrast and brightness to improve the picture might make SD look a bit better on your television set, but those same changes would do the same thing on a HD image. You're not seeing any extra detail, you're just making the colours more attractive to your eyes.
FoxSports HD is the reason I would prefer the Panthers were never on FTA. The detail is a huge improvement and it's like watching 2 different programs. Honestly, if you couldn't see the difference, make sure that you have a high definition television set, that you have the Foxtel IQHD set top box, and that the set top box is hooked up via HDMI or component (R/G/B for video, R/W for audio). Then you also have to enable the HD channels pack. It's an extra $10 per month, but it's definitely worth it. People who have never seen the footy in HD are blown away the first time they see it on a decent TV. Sport has just never looked so good on TV before.
