They had the programming director I think a few weeks back on triple my a few months back. He stated that they could have the games in hd as that is the original capture then they downgrade it to sd

Well the analog signal which is the normal SD was turned off earlier this year..

Its 2014. You can get Curved Ultra HD sets now that Harvey Norman if advertise on Ch9 and we are still stuck with an Mpeg2 Standard Definition image.

Everyone can view Gem, so why not just show the games on that channel. I know people will say its not there main channel, but so what people will still watch the NRL in the numbers they do presently. In fact because its in HD more people may watch it.

I have never understood this garbage people and the networks throw out about Go and Gem being their secondary channels.

Watching the state championship and switched to nine for a few minutes. Pretty much unwatchable compared to hd on Fox sports. By the time the networks move to hd in this country the rest of the world will be watching TV on holograms or something :/
