How much money is actually enough?

I find the more I earn, the more things I figure that I need so the basic equation in my life so far has always been that expenses = income and if income rises so too have my expenses.

I wonder at what point you actually sit down and say "ok, I'm earning enough to make me completely happy" The more I get the more I want atm. Besides, the more I earn, the more I seem to upgrade purchases. For instance, back in the days when I earnt a small amount of money, if I needed to buy something I'd settle for the basic model. Nowadays, if I need to buy something I don't settle for the basic, I buy the best that I can afford. The paradox here is that there is always a better model than the one that I buy anyway so do I just keep going up and up as my income increases or is their a point where you say "that model is good enough for me"

It will always go that way.

My very low-paying job has made me realise I can be relatively happy with little.

Running 15 minutes late, so no time for a shower, but I guess it's better getting to uni and submitting the assignment unkempt and smelly than getting there late, copping a penalty for overdue submission and looking like Brad Pitt. Especially when my teacher is a married man. And I'm pretty sure he's not a swinger. He's Jewish. I don't know if that determines the matter one way or another.

Same as Wallace. He added absolutely nothing and was a waste of space. A fullback (and CAPTAIN, FFS) is supposed to add something to a side. He didn't, at all.

Fair enough, Wallace f**ked up more and Gidley made a few good tackles. I agree he should never have been made captain as I think most people would however I thought he played better than a lot of the other guys beside him lol..

I just think he doesn't have any effect on the game, unless he does f**k up. He goes ok and is a good club player but Origin is not the realm for OK players IMO. I'd rather Hayne at the back on their performances at that level

I can't deny Gidley's defence tonight. It was much better. But there was never a leader in our side, and that won't change in twelve months.

I agree Gidley isn't an x-factor sort of player and doesn't have the 'spark' but rather is a toiler, however I still think he deserves to be in the side and there are much bigger problems than him out there.

NSW lack a leader badly. Gidley isn't the answer and never was, how many club games had he captained before they jumped the boat and made him Origin captain? I might be bias, but despite losing the last 3 series I thought Buderus was a good captain.. at the moment, we're pretty low on options which probably slants my judgment.
