Sunshine has done bugger all really, Symonds has had a purple patch with the bat at one stage but has gone off the boil

Mate no bowler in these times will do well bowling at 120km, with the exception of Chaminda Vass and he plays a large amount of cricket on lowish sub continental pitches. McDonald is just like Young, he could bat a bit, bowl a bit, but he is a jack of all trades, master of none, and will be found out like Young was found out!

It's no coincidence that the Vics started to head back up the points tables from 2006/07 onwards when from then to now McDonald has averaged 52 with the bat and 30 with the ball. Very, very underrated.

Unforunately with our current bowling attack an all rounder is almost a must , so McDonald should get a fair run.

Between 120-125. That is below medium. He will not trouble good test batsmen and his batting is not better than David Hussey for instance
