Apparently both the cowboys and bulldogs have offered a contract to Adam even though he is still under contract to us?.

Quinlan will be a NRL standard fullback playing reserves. Contracts mean nothing these days if a player wants out. Since Chin dropped Williams, might as well stick Quinlan there.

They may be interested but he is contracted for next season so they are not allowed to approach him unless permission is given from the club.

If the offers involve big money it's unfair to stand in his way. But unless it was huge money i'd be very reluctant to let him go. He's first grade quality and in a position where you want that kind of depth. Especially for us, with The Duge being an origin player and a touch injury prone.

It is unfair for another team to contact a contracted player and destabilise his relationship with his current club. If he is part of the clubs plans for this season and the next, another team cannot come in and bump up his contracted price. At this point, our players that are capable of playing in the halves for next season are widdop, witt and quinlan.

As Brissy Red V mentions, replace unfair with illegal, but proving it is the difficult part & I'm sure all clubs do it....

If Cowboys offer him what he's worth, let him go, kid deserves better than to languish in reserve grade. If Dogs offer him a contract, get a big neon 'HELL NO' sign made up...

The Bulldogs don't exactly have a good fullback at the moment do they. It only makes sense that they would be in the market for a quality fullback. Quinlan is a player on the move, he is young has great speed and is playing so well for his limited experience.

doesnt sound right to me...

Bulldogs are going after Tedesco..

Cowboys have lachlan coote signed to a decent deal, and although he is injured most of this season they have a couple of players that can fill in until Coote returns.
Quinlan would be crazy moving to a club where he would still be second fiddle..

If they really believe in him, they will find a spot for him in the 17. At the moment, there are question marks on our half and back up hooker positions. If we can manufacture him into one of those roles, we'll have another strike player that defences need to look out for.

Up to Price and co to make this happen if they really want to keep him.

Do these low lifes have any limitations in the salary cap. If a local junior, the likes of Tedesco is poached by the bullcheats it will be a sad day. Brooks and Tedesco are great to watch and it would be great to see them both have a long career at the Tigers

pretty convenient / obvious rumour after Duges return - smells like twitter logic. Highly regarded by Price and signed a new deal last year

Why should we let him go.It's a squad game and we now have depth in most positions,f#*k any club who think they can throw cash around to lure a player who is under contract, this goes for any club and player.
The NRL should get on top of this crap and make contracts worth the paper it's written on.

It happens, even our own club does it. For example we tried to grab Sam Williams before June 30 last year (lord knows why, now), and we've signed other players who needed a release from the final year of their deals (Bronson Harrison is one)
