That’s no evidence at all mate - it’s just the same rhetoric that’s been spilled for years.

Things change, situations change and circumstances change mate - welcome to life. How about you stop being such a downer and appreciate the fact clubs want to invest in Perth?
So you don’t consider the club officially and publicly laying out their non negotiables as evidence? That’s just weird lol

yep they do, and when the bears come out and let us know they have changed their stance on these things I’ll change mine.

thats the point, they have no interest in investing in perth beyond getting their hands on an nrl license. I’ve no interest supporting a Sydney club that’s just leeching off the opportunity of perth being the best location for an nrl club.

How long you been around rugby league?

Is everything any clubs ceos or boards say true or partly true or smoke and mirrors? The entire games managements and fabric is built on hearsay - how’s it weird? Clubs talk shit, and say things that might be true one day but it changes and no longer become the case the following day.

You have no idea what your point is - you come across completely lost at sea and inconsistent with your arguments and narratives mate.

You want a club but don’t want a club that doesn’t fit you personal appeal but you don’t even know what your personal appeal is because you need a club which can provide things I’ve mentioned 3/4 times already in this thread because it is what it is and fail to see without the things a pre existing club can provide, your state city and lack of rugby league resources poses too big a risk to the games organisation and bottom line …

Appreciate clubs want to go there and build up the city - or go support another code. Simple as that really.

Because I can tell you right now, PNG Pasifika or whoever else would gladly take a club that can offer them grass roots pathways, business development opportunities and a foot into the big league.

First game was in 1980.

again you can only take the evidence on face value. Anything else you are purely guessing.

your opinion. I’m pretty clear. I want aPerth club, not a Sydney club playing some games in perth.

again I’m basing my current dislke on what bears are offering and asking for in return on what they are saying. If they change what they are saying I’ll change my opinion accordingly,

I want aPerth club, run for perth by perth and focussed on growing the game in WA.

perth has weaknesses in its bid as club 18. Mainly player development pathways. We can get that partnering with a second tier club in nsw or qlnd or png or nz or a combination without conceding ownership, home games or local branding. Everything else we have, fanbase, corporates, rich owners, govt support, suitable stadium.

The old “go and support a different game”, that’s pretty childish response, I want what’s best for the game in WA, you want what’s best for north Sydney,

great, good, luck pasifika bears. We’ll bide our time until we get the club that will be best for the game here.

Surely you can't expect someone to just ignore what the Bears are saying publicly?

Looking at this
Surely you can't expect someone to just ignore what the Bears are saying publicly?

Particularly when they have stated the same thing on multiple occasions.

If they change their mind then sure but they are still pushing these non-negotiables which are completely nonsense

You ignore or take on face value what you want. Do you take everything Wests Tigers or Bulldogs management says on face value? Or any side who says their coach is safe only to then sack them?

It’s Rugby League ffs. There’s an art to media releases. People from the Bears can say they want a game or two at NSO all they want - here’s one, what if it’s an away team based in Sydney that takes a game there for extra financial incentive? Circumstances change - adapt, accept it and move on.

Of course you take it on face value, otherwise what's the point of the announcement?

The Bears hold literally no cards here, and can't demand anything.

No need for the animosity. I dont blame any Bears fan for wanting their club back, and I dont blame any Perth fan for being very concerned about a Sydney club being the Perth license holder.

If they drop their three non negotiables
ie
1. License is held by the Perth consortium
2. All home games are played in Perth (this doesnt stop the NS LC offering Sydney clubs money to move an away game to NS oval)
3. The Bears brand is changed to reflect it as a Perth club ie Western Bears with a dash of yellow added to the red and black

If they are willing to accept that then it could very well work and could be a very successful partnership for Perth and NS LC.

@Perth Red That's it in a nutshell for me.

The Bears need to realise that they have little leverage over a Perth bid, and can't afford to make all manner of demands - especially if there's an approach from the Jets that's considerably more reasonable, pragmatic & flexible.

Likewise for Adelaide, NZ 2, or where-ever else North Sydney set their eyes on this week... they're a dead brand, trying to find some way back from the grave.

Enjoy your dead club
Bit harsh considering you’ll be on your way out before they do mate. Take it easy old fella, don’t strain your ticker for online back and forwards especially when you struggle to take it as it is! Make yourself numero uno - try yoga or tai chi

Remove the yellow and have the silver from 2009 sg ball side - play 9 games at Perth and 1 in Adelaide. Strike a deal with Souths to play (Bears away) in NSO so it doesn’t affect the WA home games quota.

Move Harold Matt’s, SG Ball and women’s grades sides there from the get go and then progressively Jersey Flegg and NSW Cup. Once those grades are established - open up a Norths Groups Club there as well.

Do it right, do it progressively and commit 100%

Why would anyone in Perth or Adelaide support this?

Perth doesn't need a NSWRL club. It has enough support from Peter Cumins and the WA Gov to fund a team of its own.

Adelaide could be an option for the Bears. For it to work the Bears will need to relocate permanently to Adelaide and embrace the local community.

The Fitzroy Lions marred the Brisbane Lions by changing the club's trading name to Brisbane Bears-Fitzroy Football Club Ltd.

North Sydney would pull something similar in Adelaide.
