No SA teams for both 17s and Seniors. They probably wouldn't have won a game, but NRL SA is a poor administration that can't even organise teams to enter a CAS comp.

That would be the first time in a long time they haven’t entered a snr mens team.
Reality is given the pittance i know WA gets from nrl, and we are the third strongest RL state in the country, I can only imagine the amount of investment in SA the NRL is making lol I mean they haven’t even got a website!

Why is this being played in qlnd not in WA or Vic?
why do they still call it affiliated states when they are not?
why do teams play back to back games on same day?

Whatever investment the NRL is making in SA is dismal. Instead of growing the game it's regressing and players have left in droves. Greater Adelaide has a population of 1.3 million and NRL SA struggles to field 4 senior teams for a comp with no reserve comps. It's a disgrace.

Back to the CAS, the WA team defeated Victoria and NT today and will take back the CAS championship from Victoria.

Yeah NT has punched above its weight this year in both Mens and Juniors. They should have quite a few players make the CAS squad.

So this years championship has become somewhat farcical with only three teams in it meaning two games a day for three days against same teams. Maybe it’s time to rethink it a bit. Maybe include a png rep team from the digicell cup and a nz rep team from their comp? Playing short games against same opposition for three days is a bit dumb.
