Saints- No Mooney for the Cats, sanits too much firepower up forward.
Melbourne
Swans- well they better I have them in a multi this week!
Eagles- good side at home, almost impossible to beat at Subi
Dogs- Port are awful and the Dogs are 4-1.
Bombers- I hate this game but I hope the bombers get up.
Crows- top team in the comp, hard to tip against them

*Sigh*

Was in a newsagent buying a mothers day card on Monday and figured I'd put my tipstar on so I don't have to go back again.

Then I find out Croad AND Crawford aren't going to play :( :(

And Jacobs...

Not to worry, time to go small and pacy and run them off their feet as was the preferred game style in the corresponding fixture last season.

No, I will wait till late today after the footy show to see who is in and out. No Croad is a blow but still leaning towards Hawthorn.

The saving grace with Croad is that they have been playing him forward, if they couldn't cover him in the backline they would be in trouble. Covering him forward is not such a difficult task.

Has Franklin played a senior game yet this year??? (Didn't watch last weeks game) - If not, he would surely be the one to come in? Brisbane's slowing down backline would have trouble with him I'd think.

Personally, I think Crawf is a big loss. He is a much better player than he gets credit for at times.

Hodge and Mitchell- the two lovers cover that loss!;-)

Not so sure about this. For mine, Croad is the most important player at Hawthorn right now. Not the best player, mind you, but the most important to team structure.

No hasn't played yet. Suffered a wrist injury during last weekend's Box Hill debacle, but depending on who you talk to, will either be back against the Lions or will still miss another fortnight. Would've been very handy (as an unsettling influence) against the Kangaroos and could well cause the LIons some headaches if he lines up.

A cursory post-match glance at the stats sheets after last week's game was enough to let me know that Crawford wasn't physically right. Is still very handy, but while he was easily our top player a couple of years back, he would no longer rank in the top six now. Hodge, Mitchell & Lewis should provide a strong enough inside mid division, although Crawford's leg speed would have been troubling for Brisbane.

I don't care what manner of sordid after dark activity the boys get up to off the paddock, just as long as they keep getting the pill and driving it forward come match day.:)

It's the sordid during-match activities some are getting up to that the Sunday Footy Show highlighted!

I'm sure than photo of two Hawthorn players prancing like girls that gets a run in The Fight Club every so often was these two players

Ahh what I mean mostly is if you can Franklin back, Croad is replaceable up front.

Obviously if the backline is struggling Croad can be thrown back which I'm not sure Franklin could? Obviously this is where is important to the structure of your spine.

With Crawf, it's not only his stats that are important, it's his immense experience which is the loss.
