We may not have money but we can be happy to know that basic psychology of people in general favours us in this scenario.

Never knew there was a term for it but I have thought this all along. It is those viewers that are perhaps a bit indifferent or not fussed what sport they watch that are put off that could really burn the VFL. Of course the diehard RL fan has already said feck off with your rubbish sport!

That's what happens when your sport is GIRT BY SEA...

For all their talk of being established in 1859 and being based on Marn Grook it's interesting that for the first four decades no Indigenous athletes played top level senior football in the VFL or VFA...

*If* the Marn Grook story is true - and that's a big *If* - then basically what they're saying is that they took the rules of an Aboriginal sport and then denied Aboriginal players from playing it at the highest level for 40 years...
