What happened to the breaking news about Craig Wing going to AFL. If this transpires, it smacks of desparation from both parties for mine. Obviously the riches in Japanese rah rah hasn't paid the bills!

I'm pretty sure that was an April Fools joke that Fletcher made.

Since when is Punchbowl in Western Sydney? And I could name 4 Melbourne suburbs, its not seriously that hard.

Maybe get him to name 4 junior Western Sydney AFL clubs, I couldn't do that.

I can assure you that in a place like Tassie, Rugby League is getting much more coverage than ever before because that slob Vlad keeps taking about it. The fat man has an ego twice the size of Michael Searle's girth!

By the way cutie had another shite game yesterday. The novelty has worn off and he is now just anbother very ordinary fumbleballer.
If only the NRL could play some rounds there in the season what a boost that we be for Rugby League in Tassie.
I know for a fact that a lot of people are pissed off with the way they treated there by fatboy and the AFL.

I think it's about time when the new Tv deal is done and dusted, that a couple of the wealthier NRL clubs ,do a bit of return serving and get into a couple of AFL players ,or at least boost their market price so the flips have to pay overs to retain them.
This slimeball of the AFL is starting to get to me. I hope he gets his one upmanship before the year is out.He has had a dream ride so far, some one needs to derail the train by doing a little poaching even if it is Vic AFL junniors not the spindly types..

Johnathon Brown in a Broncos jersey? Oh shi-

I wouldn't feed one of those stick insects let alone have one at my club. They could stick these things on the field and no one would notice the difference.

The chances of an AFL player making a switch to the NRL are zero. The chances of an NRL player making the switch to AFL are running at about 100% at the moment....

Rugby league should be worried by threat of GWS Giants, says Fox Sports commentator Dermott Brereton

The Daily Telegraph
December 21, 2011 8:19AM

Fox Sports commentator Dermott Brereton has warned rugby league that Greater Western Sydney will win a premiership in five years and become the city's most popular team.

Speaking at the Jack Newton Classic, the Hawthorn legend turned commentator said the NRL had no idea "what is about to hit them" and said GWS would take over Western Sydney.

"The AFL is going to make sure that this thing works," he said. "They have the cash and I don't think anyone from Sydney understands what they are in for. Rugby league will be the loser."

Brereton says only Penrith general manager Phil Gould is aware of the threat the AFL poses and the rest of the rugby league community should be worried.

"Rugby leaguers don't really know what they're allowing to happen in their own backyard. It's an incredible sport, it's very catchy and they (the AFL) are going to pump so much into it. It'll be big.

"They've (rugby league) got to get more proactive."

While bullish about the Giants, Brereton says the young side will only win two matches in their debut season in 2012.

The Hawks champion also claimed Lance Franklin was the greatest athlete to have played AFL and could have also been a star in the NRL.

I look forward to the "NSW's AFL ignorance staggering: Brereton" article.

Brereton is a tard but the AFL did get it right and achieve their purpose with Folau.

What purpose was that?

They've achieved nothing but a few pages of suckups from Telegraph writers.

It's been idiotic from day one. There isn't a Rugby League fan here who couldn't have done a better job than the AFL has done on this one.

I mean, who seriously believes that a bloke who played Rugby League for Melbourne, Brisbane and Queensland is going to be a big drawcard for another code of Football in Western Sydney?

Are there really people, other than you, that thick in AFL circles?

What fascination? ... is the question I'd ask.

They all think the same thing; that people north of the Bargearse line think the same as Victorians. i.e. If it's interesting to a Victorian it's interesting to everyone...

The rest of the world begs to differ.

They couldn't be more wrong and thankfully, it's their pockets that will pay for it.
