even if he has no intention of signing with Union it looks like he's trying to start a bidding war so we might have to pay a mint to keep him

Why would Hayne leave Parra??? DA has got him firing and playing his best footy. We have 2 great signing's the last couple of weeks with the hope of more to come. He'd be mad to leave.

He's a must.
Parra should fork out as much as they need to if they wont to keep him, once he proves he is consistent he could do anything.
Hayne is a very special player, and when you hear things like him being open to offers from union etc as well as his history of not ever really saying he is truely 100% passionate about the club i dont think it is this next contract we need to be worried bout but the next one.

Mate I think what he is reported on ATM (400-450K) is enough to keep him in the blue and gold. I think we will probably sign him up in the offseason to another 3 year deal and he will jump at it. Realistically that sort of money for an extended period of time is only seen by a few players. Inu will also stay for a decreased sum, aswell as guys like Grothe (overpaid IMO) and then Cayless iss off contract (if he does stay it will also be for alot less) so parramatta will have money to play with. Also guys like Hauraki (100K) and Oake (60K) will come off contract.

It kind of gives it away that he will be staying for a long tim when he is enticing blokes like Justin Poore to sign with us.
Hayne has the world at his feet here at Parra, he aint leaaving aanytime soon!

$550K a season plus 3rd party sponsorship?

If he stays clean, he could well be on alot more commercials and advertising

If i were on the board, i'd be pulling out the check book signing it and getting him to write down the amount.
Hayne is truely something special and thrives under pressure.
DA him wonders imo.

Yup, a bit like Albert Kelly's quotes about how Parra gave him the chance.

Tbh im atm in to minds about whether Hayne is a passionate player for Parra or is going to go for the biggest price thrown at him.
I cant see him leaving within the next say 2-5 years, but i do see him getting nabbed by someone else.

If parra really wont Hayne long term we need to show him the direction where heading, what we wont him to do now and in the future and even dangle the carrot of captaincy in the near future at him.

3rd party sponsorship is independant from the club and he could get the same sponsor while at parramatta. If we offered him 450K and South offered 550K, I would hope he would stay here because realistically that is about 250k against 300k after tax (so only 50K difference, is that a real reason to leave saftey of a club with everything going right?)

I know where your coming from YY, im really in two minds about Hayne.
It would be a catastrophe to see him leave, especially anytime soon.

I just don't trust their word.

Only a few can be trusted. Hindy, Burt, but Hayne, Inu, et al.

However, i was really, really surprised that FFMM didn't go on the open market.

I'm sure he would've got some great offers

Im also about 99% sure Hayne will not sign for longer then another 2 years. At his rate of improvement it wouldnt surprise me to see a English club or someone from Rugby be union dangle a mutil-million dollar contract at him.

I just feel under DA Parra are a club moving forward, he is pretty much the main man now at Parra already at just 21. He is a player you can build a club around so we should be looking to sign him ASAP.

Souths will be looking for a fullback at the end of next year as Rhys Wesser is off contract and likely to head off to England or retire.
Manoa Thompson-Jarryd Haynes dad is also as we remember last contract negotiation for him to go to souths.
My mate gf's grandpa is also George Piggins and he reckons its only a matter of time before Hayne heads south.

I whole heartedly agree that we should sign him, but would hayne say, no please wait?

Hayne is fast becoming my favourite player like many before him, the players I like leave.

I was so glad I liked Brett Finch.
