In saying that, hasn't he been at the helm for 4 premiership wins now. 3 with the Raiders and one with the Tigers.
Those Raiders sides could have been coached by Hagan to win a comp, and the Tigers won the premiership after Parra and the Dragons do what they do best. 37% over 12 years says a lot more IMO.........

Ask the Tigers fans what they think of him??? Since he left a star studded Canberra outfit i think he is sitting at 37%. Myth of the highest order.

I'm not disagreeing. But he has pull with selectors as national coach and undoubtedly would make the path towards playing for Australia one day far, far easier for him.

the tigers deserved their premiership - they finished very strongly that season and then held their nerve when it mattered while the rest of us faltered .... i don't understand why parra fans have to have sour grapes over it - if the shoe was on the other foot and we'd don what the tigers did we'd all be claiming them the great premiers since '86

Strides after hearing Rabs go on about it last night i'll have to agree. From what he said they won 8 straight leading into the finals, if that's not a team that deserves the credit them i don't know what is.
ON another note does anyone think Gus Gould sounds like that old senile grandfather that you only see at xmas. Apparently everything the Cowboys did right last night was purely because they were queenslanders. There was somehting that John Williams did well and he kept going on about only queenslanders would do that, they forgot to mention that Johhny spent all but the last 2 years in NSW.
And i can't believe noone corercted Wally Lewis when he twice mentioned Ben Roberts and the possibility of playing for NSW. He should know only QLD can get Kiwi reps to play for them

Ah, still bitter about that season? With no disrespect to the Eels supporters, what was your excuse for 2001?

Hybrideel at least had something decent to say. Tigers went on a winning streak into the finals series and that to you accounts for a "Bradbury Premiership"? Haha! Please... I ask you to check back on the scores the Tigers put on each time in the finals against the Broncos and the Dragons. Heck, have a look at the final scoreline against North Queensland...

Tigers brought the goods when it counted (wish I could say the same for the team now...) and the two you mentioned didn't. That is the bottom line.

Now moving on...

Eels supporters, what kind of player is Albert Kelly? Anyone bar chisel face Morris would be good in 5/8....But knowing the Tigers recruitment history we'll sign Lowrie (no joke) and make him 5/8....

i love how people keep blaming the week off for some of our losses and how it disadvantages sides, especially considering how many sides have made the gf after having the week off since the current finals system was introduced.

Agree. The eels are one of the only minor premiers to not make the GF. So why are people blaming the week off?

? many teams that were mino premiers have not gone onto the GF.

Look i just think the week screwed both the Dragons and Eels that year, up until then both sides were flying.

Anyway we lost, Tigers and Cowboys won the rest is history.

tbh i've never been a fan of that week off in the finals, particulary if you're on a roll, sides loose momentum.

I think the numbers are something like 13 of the 20 sides that have had the week off have
made the gf, but I guess all teams won't be affected the same way so it's possible. I'm not as convinced though given how often teams would win the gf in the old top five with two weeks off in the play offs.
