I'll agree with you if and when these players cut the mustard. So far Sticky is spending a heap of Filiga type cash on unproven kids again.

Sticky has form as a halves killer. He's a hard marker Albert. Best of luck.

Where is the compo for Parra for bringing Juniors up? Why do we even do it...... No point.

Our club does the dirty work but we cant keep them.

So now he has signed with someone else (it was inevitable - if he really wanted to sign with Parra he would have done so weeks ago!), will DA throw him in firsts and start using the Shark's money??

Joey is definitely a factor but I'd guess the biggest factor after that would be $$$. The Sharks have some fantastic young kids coming through now that Ricky seems to have swallowed his pride and a 1000 theories in regard to playing backrowers in most positions.

As far as Ricky's record with halves goes.... this will be very interesting. Still, I'm unconvinced about the kids desire rather than his talent.

No, it would come off our cap next year not thiers.

No it wouldn't. It would only come off our cap if he is at the club next year.

As for playing him in first grade, I'd rather we play some of the kids that will be with our club asopposed to someone elses.

I think you are spot on with everything you just said Colonel.

The statement that did it for me was "I think I'm ready for first grade, my grandfather thinks I'm ready for first grade and so does my manager". Fantastic stuff, but there has been nothing to suggest from his time in NYC that the statement is true outside of one game against the Sharks side that got pasted by 40+ and a game in NSW Cup where he scored five tries against a team that most have said would have found it hard to tackle a paddle pop stick.

The game for NSW Under 18's is another - where many other players were have been deemed to be the standouts.

Ah right... I thought it was the other way round. My bad!

Do u think DA will throw him in sometime anyway?
If we needed him, say if robson or mortimer gets injuried and KK or Mateo are still out then yeah i think we should use him and DA I'm sure would think the same. But I wouldn't blood him if not needed.

Now that he is going, I dont want to see him in Parra first grade. We should look to develop other players.

Absolutely. Ando should target the youngins that he feels have a future and rotate one a game in FG for the rest of the season. I like the way the Broncos have done that over the years. Reward them with a taste, and then pop them back in reggies to dream about what it the future brings if they dig deep.

Wasnt that supposed to be Tony Zappia?

Grima being NSW U18's coach wouldn't have helped. I bet Grima was in his ear all week.

Dont forget Blake Green.

And good luck on winning a Grand Final. I look forward to meeting Harold Holt too.

This is the worst decision that Kelly could of made. Anywhere but the Sharks. He would have more of a chance becoming a better halfback playing for Brisbane where he would probably never see first grade.

No halfback under Ricky Stuart has gone on to do great things while under Stuart. The best was Wing when he won a premiership at half with the Chooks.

Ricky Stuart will destroy Albert Kelly like he did Brett Firman, Jamie Soward, Josh Lewis, Brett Finch, Brett Kimmorley, Blake Green, Brett Seymore, Craig Wing, Joe Williams, Anthony Watts. Lucky some of them were able to fight their way back and secure a first grade spot, but only when they weren't coached by Ricky.

Ricky Stuart will not give Albert Kelly the time he needs to develop as apart of the team. Just like he never gave anyone else the time. And the players that he did give the time to adjust, he would try and change their game and just ruin them. Brett Kimmorly best example.

Good luck Albert, you are going to need it.
Kimmorley played his best football for us under Sticky. As has Seymour and as has Porter.

Green is not being kept and Seymour is being shopped. Porter, Barrett and Kelly will be our big 3 halves with Morris as a back up.

Kelly will be our 5/8. He is linking up with a team full of young guys on the rise.. Stapleton is 19, Ferguson is 19, Mannah is 20 and Wright is 18. We are looking to build around these kids. That is appealing for a young kid wanting a chance especially when you throw in Barrett, Gallen, Tupou etc
