A Knights fan lecturing another club on their culture.

You've gone through the looking glass fella.

we have a jobs for the boys, mediocrity is ok culture.

not an its more than ok to cheat in any way possible and be reckless about your opponent's well-being culture.

Both unacceptable; only one is unethical.

Don't give a shit about you personally, champ.

Your club is a blight on the game, and you muppets are apologists for it. It's embarrassing.

Chicken wings, crushers, grappling, cheating, rorting, deliberately and severely injuring players... and blaming everyone else for it. It's the storm way.

Just look at this thread - according to you lot it isn't that the Storm have taught their players to be reckless with the well-being of other players, it isn't that your captain is a classless gimp.... no, it's that the media is picking on you. Just clueless.

Yet our "classless gimp" of a captain has never found himself in a female dormitory with his digits in the holiest of holies like a former Knights player. Say what you will about the antics of Melbourne, none of our past or previous players have earned the title of "sex pest".

It's not that unusual. Too many young guys suffer these serious injuries.

Some empathy is normal.

That is wtf normal is in these situations.

Unless you live in your own personal bubble.
Your so full of shit...

Using this kids serious injury to take cheap shots at the bloke.

I'm not a Smith or a Storm fan... But there's certainly a lack of class being shown here... And it ain't from Cameron Smith or Melbourne.

All he had to do was show some sort of empathy.

Everything else is bullshit, including the crap you are resorting to.

A bloke we sacked v a bloke you deify

Here's a tip to save you further googling - some of our blokes took drugs too.

Keep on justifying the scumminess, it's the storm way.

You mean like requesting to visit him when in hospital in Melbourne, wearing his number out of respect for him and raising money to help him out? Oh hang on Smith did all that. I'm sure if he knew Alex had a big issue with what he did he would have spoken with him by now. Still better to air it on 60minutes than speaking directly with him?

You're telling the story. As far as doing public things like wearing a number - if that does it for Alex all well and good. If not, who gives a f**k.

You don't see anything unethical in the behaviour of some of your players over the years? Knights seem to have had more player issues over the years than most clubs, especially around illegal drug use. Coincidence or club culture?

This is all just further proof Smith is a sneaky, grubby piece of shit. Wonder if the refs will wake up to him now. Doubt it.

I think McKinnon needs to do a double take here and assess this situation better. The guys from the Storm DID try to see him in hospital but they were understandably turned away as McKinnon was in a crucial phase of his rehab in hospital. Plus, I seriously doubt Smith had any idea on how serious that situation was.
I do think Smith should have made an effort to phone McKinnon though to explain his actions.

Oh, we have a terrible club culture - jobs for the boys, mediocrity is ok. I outlined this in an earlier post (again, comprehension is not your strength).

Personal drug use is not an ethical/moral issue. It is a personal health issue. That isn't to say I want athletes from my club out on pingers in season (or out on the piss for that matter) as it will negatively effect their performance.

Their performance has been pretty piss poor for the past decade or so, so perhaps that's why - would also fit in with the blase acceptance of mediocrity. Seems you have cracked the code.

Perhaps we should have just ignored the salary cap and gone out there trying to maim people instead - has worked for other clubs.

ITT butthurt knights fans take their angst of backing a piece of fkn shit club out on Cameron Smith. Average footballer sustained a very unfortunate injury that any footballer can still sustain, no apologies required from Smith to wheels.

I think your understanding of the use of unethical is off. Undertaking illegal activities fits very much under a definition of unethical. Your club culture due to the above norm issues with illegal drug usage very much sits under the definition of unethical.

unethical
ʌnˈɛθɪk(ə)l/
adjective
not morally correct.
"it is unethical to torment any creature for entertainment"
synonyms: immoral, amoral, unprincipled, unscrupulous, dishonourable, wrong, dishonest, deceitful, disreputable, unconscionable, fraudulent, dirty, unfair, underhand, devious, slippery, bad, wicked, evil, sinful, iniquitous, corrupt, depraved, villainous; More

Thats not an accurate representation of ethics, but that is a pretty complex conversation so we will keep it simple for the dullards in here.

Ethics, morals and arbitrary laws governing personal conduct often have little to do with one another.
