Smith and the Storm made efforts over the weeks and months after the incident to contact mcKinnon ... but were continually declined. I don't blame them from giving up

No he didn't the best his own clubs statement could claim that he tried to reach out was when McKinnon was in the Melbourne hospital...whilst he was in a coma the f**kwits

McLean managed to get his number it's not that hard...how many excuses can the smith apologists keep coming up with?

It's the hallmark of a lot of people who have achieved a lot particularly in sport, look at Vettel and Whincup for instance, all great merkins who leave empathy at the door and only give a shit about maximising their own personal gains.

They all don't like it when people challenge the "good guy" image they like to portray. When everyone knows they're absolute merkins.

Now thats shooting the messenger.

"Don't broadcast negative opinions of me or I won't talk to you".

Seems in-keeping with his attitude. He won't think he's done anything wrong, shouldnt apologise and has no responsibility to the games broadcaster even on one of its big events. It's all about him.

The bloke lives in a constant state of denial.

It's obvious as all f**k its just a publicity stunt to sell his book.

Just like Kevin Pietersen shit bagged all his team mates to sell his book.

McKinnon has been very ill advised, Smith isn't a mind reader how was he too know McKinnon had took offence to his comments to the ref.

I've only just been sent this link. I'm not going through past posts on here if most have probably seen it by now, if not here it is
https://www.youtube.com/watch?sns=fb&v=GC1CCzBJDnE&app=desktop

Even the ref said "I understand what your saying", the commentators commented on the ducking of the head; why is Smith the only one getting attacked?

& 60 minutes must of showed McKinnon a edited version because he didn't argue for 8 minutes, he waited for him to leave the field.

In fact 31 seconds is what he spoke for.

I have heard multiple news outlets say that Smith argued for 8 minutes, when it was actually about 30 seconds total.

In even more evidence that the media are morally bankrupt, 60 minutes have offered Smith a right of reply next week - milking it for all it is worth. It's painfully obvious this is purely about ratings.

What piece of shit thinks that video supports Smith?

It shows precisely why he is a shit merkin.

He had ages to wake the f**k up to himself given what was going on and still carried on like he did. Did you see the knight captain going up to the ref to whinge after the first penalty against his side?

The other thing is, why the f**k the ref even let him say a single f**king word is beyond ridiculous.

This massive effort by storm merkins to defend this germ has changed my view on that news ltd scum club. They can f**k off. Salary cap cheating, on-field cheating merkins who suck cash out of the game while destroying the product with wrestling and bringing the sport into disrepute. Can't expect much more from a club that was Murdoch and Ribot's bowel baby.

I'll tell what is obvious ... And that is that you are a dumb merkin.

As if he is really going to use his own injury to use as a tool to attack the Aus capt just to sell a book.

Absolutely incorrect. Fight or flight is an adrenal response that has nothing to do with this situation. This situation the natural reaction is to duck your head into you chest, which takes your neck AWAY from the focal point of the force. Try this, just sitting on the couch or wherever. Level your chin out so your head is relatively steady, relax your neck, and push down gently on the top of your head. Which way does your neck bend? It goes forward, chin into your chest. That's the natural way your neck bends under pressure, that's the natural flex. Simple as that. To state that the natural reaction is to bend your neck in an unnatural manner that places it at the greatest risk is simply misinformed.

Garbage, having been on the end of a few spear tackles I can tell you the first reaction is not to hit the ground. Back flexing backwards, hands out to take jolt when the ground nears, not to bring your head or neck into hitting the ground first.

Unfortunately, Alex became disoriented.

That video goes completely goes against everything the smith defenders have been arguing l!. The first argument is that smith argued straight away in the heat of the moment like any captain would- false, it took minutes for him to make his complaints, by that time everyone had cooled down and had a chance to think.
Second argument was smith didn't know it was a serious injury- well they had to fast forward for a couple of minutes to get to his complaint and in that time they had all the doctors on him and it showed the shocked faces of all the players including smith himself. Again it shows that he alex hadn't left the field before he started his complaints. To Say That Video clears Smith shows you how deluded his supporters truly are

Or not, clearly. You're wrong, but clearly clinging to it, so carry on

You telling us you've been dropped on your head a few times doesn't exactly strengthen your argument.

isnt that whats happening? until the book comes out we wont know whats in it, but so far based on 60 minutes and the 'extract' it seems to be a lot of anger about smith. in context smith might be a 2 page part of a 200 page book but right now its being used as publicity for the book.
