Stoked with the victory but I really feel as if the Kiwi's let the Wallabies off the hook big time and really didn't want the win as badly.

Australia still suck in the line outs and their pack was fairly average. Credit where it's due though, the backline is certainly capable and O'Connor is going to become a very special player.

the pre match thing is such a joke, those foxsports commentators are shocking, are the wallabies never favourites? i cant remember when the last time, they were asked, who they thought would win, and they all havent said the wallabies... they are so one eyed, surely they must realise alot of people watching their coverage want a unbaised critical assessment with the merits and disadvantages of each team, then on this a indepth prediction and analysis of the expected result.

Totally agree...even during the game, all Kearns does is whinge and sook about the Wallabies not getting penalties.

Greg Martin is not much better but at least he sometimes gives the opposition credit.

Neither have an analytical brain cell in their heads.

When the AB's made the subs in the second half then they effectively let Oz off the hook.

Stephen Donald is overated...takes too many risky options IMO and Toeava is not a winger by any means.

Both countries have bias commentators, the NZ one are always harping on about calls against the ABs and they go screaming like girls when an All Black makes a break.

Yeah, if Carter is out for next year's RWC, then the All Blacks will choke hard. They have decent depth in all positions except 10.

When Donald came on I knew the good guys would win it.

McCaw had a great game. As did Pocock.

f**k those fox commentators were giving me the sh*ts.....scrum penalties going against the all blacks and im saying the ref is pausing for too long on the engage....then finally at one stage the Wannabies get penalised at the scrum...and the farkwits finally start talking and whinging about it.

Have to agree...Donald is garbage. Bad options and his kicking game is poor.

Wallabies were $3.15 outsiders. AB's hot favourites at around 1.40

well lessons learnt from this test
for NZ
1. Donald is useless and a replacement should be called up, come WC time, i will not have any faith in him, going on current form and what he has done, as to who to back up, well Slade is my pick, but Cruden will get better, whether this is in time for WC, dont know
2. Isia is a centre or fullback.
3. seems this cycle has ended, so they are back down the bottom (if u can imagine a sin graph), only one way to go.

AUS

1. Oconnor is the new goal kicker
2. Pockock is something special
3. Cooper is really inconsistant, and would be a worry next year

for RUGBY

1. Way too many bledisloe cup tests recently and has lost value and significance with so many games
2. Rugby commentators need some extra training and should have to do some sort of test as to how close they resemble Gordon Bray and Crew (god help us if they every get back on)
3. From a wallaby POV, i wouldn't celebrating as tho i won lotto about the win, especially in the long term, Richie Mccaw spoke about last minute losses to the Wallabies in the early 2000's, and after this result, they will be heavily dissapointed, sure u can talk about the 'psychological' advantage, but this was at a neutral venue and not where the WC is.

I think you neglected to mention that the ref was a spanner who seemed to be guessing at scrumtime as to which team he was going to penalise.

Seemed that Cowan was offside and interfering at the scrum and the kiwi backline was well offside at several lineouts. Helped the aussies though, as the rushed defence allowed both Coopers & Barnes to find holes. Even Giteau made a break.

Aussie backs are a worry in defence. They could evade the kiwis with speed and agility, but the NZ centres just ploughed through them a couple of times.

Quade Cooper made some poor decisions in attack & bombed tries as a result. He is still a liability in defence.

Aussies are lucky that poor goal kicking did not cost them yet another test match.

The only Aussie back who had any sort of starch in defence was Barnes when he finally got on.

But on the whole, the Wallabies backline in defence was worrying to say the least.

Quade Cooper is a pea brain who always goes for the hero play and usually stuffs up,hopefully this show pony clown doesn't end up at Parramatta.

Therein lies the problem for the AB's next year, they don't have anyone to cover for Carter. Slade has been a bit too inconsistent this season but would rate him a better option than Cruden and Donald Duck right now

Berrick Barnes > AB's backups
lets wait until the end of the super15.... Colin Slade looks like hes coming along well... and hes already finished the wallabies off once in Sydney.

then theres young Anscombe for Auckland... he looks like one hell of a talent... if Bret goes downhill next season i would say he may get the reigns of the blues at some stage.

but if the all blacks were at full strength they would have the Nick Evans as Carters back up... he's miles better than anything Australia have... infact he would be in the top 3 or 4 first-fives on the planet.

When i first saw Anscombe start ahead of Anscombe, i thought it was due to his father, but hes proved me very wrong recently, to start ahead of Berquist when still a teen is a great effort, then to prove to everyone that its not just coz your old man is the coach is another.
Donald has proved to us that the gap between itm cup and international let alone S14 is huge, and its a case of you either have it or you dont, and Donald has been given 20 odd tests to prove that he doesn't, no offence to him, i'm sure hes a great bloke, who has alot to give, but this far out from a WC we have to be a bit ruthless.

Nic Evans is the player with the greatest potential that never was.... what it would mean to NZ chances if he came back next year, however somehow i dont think this is a possibility however i can only hope.
