Its a miracle, maybe there is hope after all..........................

Is that why more people in Melbourne watched the NRL GF then people in Sydney the AFL GF? Yeah only 1% of Melbourne know about RL

They watched it for the pretty colours, the occasion and because Jimmy Barnes was rumored to be arriving on hovercraft fueled by cocaine.
Stop fighting it ouwet, just admit hatred for them.
Without the occasion of the GF, and given their team every week, it wouldn't rate to f**k.

Why is a Bulldogs supporter fighting in the storms corner anyway?
Super League aligned sympathies I am guessing?

I can see your signature, it mentions a team of canine persuasion.
I draw from that what I will.

It's obvious that after the failures of the Crushers/GC/Rams/Reds/Mariners that new teams will get major concessions so they don't go a**e up. See that in the Titans and the Storm who have had good teams from their inception. Unlike the bunnies who had months to put in a team after being screwed and the pick of all the rejects of the NRL. It's a miracle they're still around and have been the joke of the NRL for 10 years.

Forget about the competition being even if you support a Sydney club. It's bollocks. I bet many fans are sick of seeing Storm grand finals (and there will be more: 2010 Storm v ?) and I wonder how many diehard NRL supporters have become disillusioned at the hypocrisy of the even competition. It makes me feel good that the club I support can fold because it's a Sydney club and no one will give a rats. But heaven help if an interstate club folds. I believe Sydney clubs should be rewarded for their custodianship of the game and have an extra million in grants from the NRL.

Ha ha sure it sucks to be a Sydney club. What did the Sydney Roosters get for their wooden spoon? more FTA games than the Warriors and Raiders combined over the last 12 months in the first 5 rounds of the competition, Dragons getting free to air exposure in over 80% of the rounds played up till round 11, the Eels, Tigers and Bulldogs all giving their sponsors the grin with free to air exposure....How do teams like the Titans, Knights and Storm compare in regards to FTA exposure?

Name me a worse stadium than the graveyard then, or a worse training centre than visy park or goshs paddock. Thought so...
I actually have no idea what their training facilities are like. I was merely suggesting that you don't either.
If you want to think League in Australia can survive with just NSW teams and not develop a national comp then thats laughable.
I agree. Luckily I don't. I fully supported the expansion that NSW clubs have driven since 1982, and fully despised the anti expansion policies that News Ltd and John Ribot brought to the game.

You are a brainless twat in making your assumption.

Every sport in the world financially supports teams in expanding markets but you are blind to the fact that the NRL should.
No they do not. I believe the finances in the NRL flowing to clubs is so tight that they need to act like a business -ie go where the money IS NOW -now where it may be with a sh*t load of luck in 50 years.

Is it some sort of exception? 1 million people in Vic watched the grand final and the fact the storm were in it would have contributed greatly to that number. You think 7 and 10 haven't seen that potential? Why do they want to get in on League? And why have they specifically mentions broadcasting nationally? Do you think the AFL would have anywhere near the tv deal it has if it only had teams from Melbourne in the comp?
7 and 10 are only interested in League because of the Storm? There was no storm when they had it in the past!

You'll also find our ceo was complaining about free to air tv this week because after 10 years of basically no coverage, they decide to finally televise a live game for our first home game of the season. Its ridicuolous from channel 9 and doesnt change my point that almost no coverage in 10 years has held back crowds. You disagree with that?
No -he was whinging because it clashed with a telethon. For some reason he didn't want to clash with hack journos interviewing teddy bears attached to sick kids.

And no increase in fans since day 1? A lie. Look at the membership numbers and the amount of people watching on fox year on year.
Memberships :lol; Glorified season tickets - how are your CROWDS going?

And since when are sydney teams self sufficient like you claim above
Since 1908.

? Last I heard most of them were making big losses. Our losses are covered by News Ltd. Sydney teams are covered by owners or businessmen. But any team making significant losses year on year is not fully self sufficient and stable. Would those sydney teams survive if you take the storm away and the tv money being talked about goes down dramatically? I'm not sure
They survived quite well well pre Storm.

But I'm wondering why you have an obsession with Sydney teams? Why do you hate them? Why not pick on cash strapped Newcastle, Canberra or the Titans?

Is it because you are a simpleton?

Because it sums up your mentality perfectly. Is it a NSW thing to be a dipsh*t? Nope it's just your thing isn't it.
No. It's a Victorian thing. Harbour envy.

If that's the case he's certainly more pro expansion. The 1980 NSWRL sewed the seeds for the biggest expansion the code has seen anywhere since 1907-8. The NRL's first move was reduce clubs from 18 to 14

Who said I hate Melbourne or the Storm?

I simply hate whinging f*cktards who want my team sacrificed because it has a postcode starting with 2, doesn't have 10 times Melbourne's crowd figure, and is self sufficient and has been since 1947.

But you do hate Sydney and Sydney teams, so explain your obsession with hating them? Did you once turn right from a left lane on Parramatta road and got cleaned up by a bus?
