As I am a huge Sharks supporter and am completely biased to my team and watch the game through one eye, I was wondering where other non Sharks supporters think they will finish this year? Of course I think they are going well already beating teams like Cowboys, Dogs, Storm, Penrith and Parra. But as I said I think they are going to win every week, so how are the Sharks really going?

If Kimmorley and Dykes stay fit.... Top 4-6 but lack of big game experience in recent years means that other teams will step up in a way I think the Sharks wont be able to in the finals. They'll be gallant but I can't see them winning or reaching the Grand Final tbh.

fair question, you guys are going well

but to be honest i think ur season hinges on one mans shoulders
lets be honest
you dont have him u lose by 24 odd to manly

brett kimmorley will be the difference
his importance to you is like joey to newcastle

Top 8, just like Manly, Canberra, Tigers etc, the aim and expectation has still gotta be the top 8 IMO
too early to start thinking top 4 is where you wanna be, consolidate the top 8 then think about higher but they have it in them to get in the top 6 IMO

True without Kimmorley they would struggle but if he stays can they do a melbourne in '99 or a Panthers in '03?

They look good for at least 6th place for mine, there's a lot to like about the way the Sharks are playing right now, and I say that as someone who usually loves to hate them.

My top 4 ... Brisbane, Nth Qld, Sharks, Dogs (they will come good, if they havent done so already).

Sharks are definite top 4 in my book, provided they have no key injuries.

Maiava and dykes have been brilliant signings and kimmorley is having the luxury of not only playing behind a good forward pack but having the playmaking responsibilities shared.
Peachey has been playing well and throw in the likes of bailey, vagana, nutley and sullivan, you got a good mix.
You never know, the way the comp has been thus far, it could be their year, still a fair way to go though.
Definite dark horse.

I've said since I saw you signed Dykes, Hutch and Cov last year that you were as good as certainties for the 8. All three were top notch signings and filled holes.

And lets face it I despise the shire scum almost as much as the dogs so it's about as unbiased an opinion you can get :p . As was noted your season mostly rests on Noddy's shoulders. If he stays fit top 4 is right in the frame. Good to see you're treating Luke better than that Turnip Sheens - he'll keep rewarding you and I've had a huge wrap on Maiava since 03. I hate to say it, but it all looks good out Woolooware way.

They'll finish 5th or 6th for mine. Will most likely go as far as they did in '99 as long as Noddy stays on the paddock. Maiava in particular has been a great buy for them. Early days still, but they are looking the goods to be a real threat come October (as much as I hate to say it... :p )

they'll make the 8 but at the moment haven't got a clue beyond that. too early to say and way too topsy turvy to predict.
