Anasta for 2012

I think we need to try and get Anasta this year before the June 30 deadline.

We don't have an established half back and the Benji experiment hasn't worked in the past and won't work in the future. We desperately need an established number 7 before our season is wasted.

I don't believe Anasta is happy at the Roosters and it will only make it worse once they remove the captaincy from him. Is it possible to get him before the June 30 deadline? I think Humphries and Sheens should try their best.

They had success with a petition to retain him once. So I made up a petition for us to grab him now.

I think it will be very hard to get him now but you never knbow unless you ask. Even though there appears to be time left in the season, think about who we have beaten. The Sharks was a lucky refs call, the Panthers were in the middle of a non-scoring streak, the Eels and Titans by one point each. Now Sheens puts Benji at half back. So he has exhausted all his options at half back and is trying the Benji experiment AGAIN!!!!

I can't see what we have to lose if we get Anasta this year and probably more to gain than lose.

While it would probably suit us, there's salary cap issues involved and doubt Easts would want to disrupt their season at this stage.

Tonearm - I find it hard to believe someone could call a player with 10 years first grade experienece, SOO and tests a pea heart. Not too many pea hearts have got his record. Pea hearts don't survive and don't represent.

The thing is that money matters doesn't it. I reckon Anasta won't kill us like Blair is simply because singing him won't result in us losing players.

I'd love to see Blair turn it around but it isn't looking good.

As for Anasta - I'm starting to wonder where you play him. Surely you don't play in the halves because then we have a slow half to add to the fact we have slow outside backs. Who knows maye Lote goes and gets replaced by a flyer.

We have flyers in Koribete, Chisholm et al in lower grades. Sheens won't play them because he has a personality clash with them. His favourite players in NRL are more important than being competitive and f**king winning it seems

Anasta will eventually get shifted to Lock, and he'll f**king hate it, and he'll bitch and whinge about it and play shit.

Then we'll have wasted money on him and Blair. Resigning Moltzen could see us essentially wasting close to $1 million of our cap on players who don't deserve to be in the NRL.

Benji is at Halfback because thats where Sheens will have to play him permanently when Anasta gets here. Sironen will not be playing as 6 or 7 regularly over the next 3-4 seasons because of the signing of Anasta.

Chisholm is a five-eighth, halfback, fullback (in no order) and can play as a hooker. He won't get a run because the club will have Tedesco, Humble and Moltzen ahead of him at fullback, Farah, Fulton, Humble and Politoni ahead of him at hooker and Marshall, Anasta, Miller, Moltzen and Humble ahead of him in the halves.

You think 2012 is going badly, just wait til next year. I reckon tedesco will struggle to get picked in first grade again. Anasta's signing and the rumoured re-signing of Moltzen has essentially pushed Tedesco out of contention.
