And now are you glad we have signed Ben Hunt ?

Regardless, there is still a school of thought that he is yet to answer the question of whether he is worth what we will reportedly be paying him.

To suggest that is purely driven by a "negative" press is incredibly naive.

Hunt is in good form, is a proven match winner & is a massive upgrade on McCrone. I would contend these are tangible points based on fact. The negative press is to do with how he has responded.

You are basing things on a 'school of thought'. I would argue that's more naive than anything I have posted.

Anyway, it's all opinion but I have no doubts Hunt will be great for us.

You seem more concerned with convincing me of Hunt's form rather than addressing what I actually stated with regards to whether the media was being "negative" or simply reporting what is largely being asked.

To suggest that I'm being naive when the question is openly being asked far and wide is absurd.

Not trying to convince you of anything. Simply putting my opinion across based on what I have seen & read.

As for 'simply reporting what is being asked' can you elaborate on what this means??

Bennet's a great coach. He is thinking about the future in blooding the two young blokes in the halves and shifting Hunt to the bench. It has worked well, with exception of the parra game, and will put them in good stead for the semis and next season. It will be interesting to see where he plays Hunt in the semis. My tip is halfback.

Hunt had an absolute barney last night, but he's out of position and having to make upwards of 40 tackles. Chuck in the halves for us with less defence to worry about and, well, we've seen what he can do
I must have been watching a different game. I thought he was the only decent player for the broncos.
Everyone was arm grabbing. Blair & Benji were useless. Milford can't defend but that is nothing new.

Hunt was better than most Broncos players but he still had a shocker by his standards. He got pinged for a forward pass about three times, kicked it out on the kick off and got wrong footed in defence a lot. He just looked better because Chubby Milf was even worse.

Point is, though, he's out of position and still nearly won them the game singlehanded. I hope Broncos lose next week so he can come straight down here and not risk a serious injury.

For a semi final the defence from both sides was very soft at times...

I was wincing watching Hunt just hoping he didn't get injured.

Donkeys out in straight sets works for me...

The added bonus in signing Hunt if we manage to an earth a gun number 7 through our own juniors, Hunt will be a super hooker too!

Thought Hunt did a lot of defensive work last night....like McInnes takes the big boys front on in his tackling technique....hopefully next year both these blokes wont have to do as much
The deference being Hunt attacks as well . I was very disappointed with McInnes , his attack was really not there at all so that again limited our attack which makes it easy for defenses knowing that he won't run at them .... Surely it must be coaches instructions because he was very limited ....
