Heres a thought........has anyone thought about asking our players about anderson and their feelings..... im not talkin about bailey, BK or stevens, im talkin about the young fellas...

No point in doing this.
Put yourself in their shoes. Becoming a recognised 1st grader is hard enough without bagging the bloke who may be your coach the following season. Just imagine the sh*t they would cop if CA did stay in and they had spent the previous few months telling everyone how much they wanted him out. Bye bye Career.

It doesnt suprise me that most of the players have been backing him. There probably just doing whatever will keep them on the field if he's still in charge next season.

I agree agro... when CA is gone, the same players will probably come out and say... "Thank fug that tosser is gone, I never did like him..."

I still have my doubts it will come to this... I think CA may well see 2004 out. Well, Unless we have a rich sponsor that wants him out and will foot the bill no matter what the cost!

It seems "tit for tat" with CA and the board atm!!

Both are acting like 10 year old spoilded bratts.

Personally I would keep CA on until he is issued a 4th notice, and that wont take long ;-) Then we REALLY have a case to ditch him!

Every player in the squad was hired by Anderson, except for Peachey, Stevens and Beattie. If the other didn't want to play under Opes, why did they come here in the first place?

OK, well, if he didn't look around for new talent, wtf did he do? and no great loss then I guess if he didn't...

I can also see CA touring the country looking for talent.

Three certainties:
- it's a mess
- we're a joke
- Blacktip's happy

Also:
apart from a possible payout to Anderson, I hope the Board have considered related legal costs. I guess they'll be using Jim Barnett, but I guess there could be significant other costs.

:( This is me right now.

Well Barnett's only a solicitor, if it gets to court they'll be paying a junior barrister or maybe even a QC as well.

Plus Raper has to get paid. The new PL coach will have to be paid. Whoever Raper takes on as assistant has to be paid etc etc etc

Before the club can sack him they will have to prove that they worked with Anderson to rectify the problems of the first 2 letters. and another thing if I was Anderson i wouldn't be too happy about my personal details of my employment being discussed in the media. Barry Pierce is being really unprofessional in this and he could get the club in heaps of trouble the way he is going about it.

In my oppinion the club should shut the f@#k up and let him get on with the job and hope we don't make the 8 in 2004 that is the only way they will get rid of him. otherwise it will cost a heap of $$$$$$

Marty I doubt the Sharks know anything at all about grievance resolution, management plans, performanace appraisals or anything else a modern employer needs to know.

In fact they definitely don't because they breach EEO with just about every stupid comment they make and every stupid action they take.

It's rare, if conflict resolution is followed properly, for a second letter to be given to any employee. It's obvious though that some bright spark on the board has taken the notion that it's 3 strikes and you're out will do.

It's also obvious that the Sharks undertook to rid themselves of Ando with a poorly thought out plan to bully and harrass him out the door. They can' even come up with something original, the Jarrod episode is just a copy of the Ben episode. By the time this is all over even Jarrod could have a job back at the Sharks as what the Sharks have done in using him to get at his Dad won't be looked kindly upon by the courts either.

These are stupid, stupid people running this circus.

That, of course, is presuming we even reach the courts... let's not get too far ahead of ourselves here.

Yes, and trust me I hope it doesn't for the club's sake. Can't wait to see what depths of treachery the club sinks to when Ando is away.

I'm not sure exactly how stupid and petty these guys could get. I'm kind of afraid to ask...

Bravo barry pierce you fat twat. Yeah bag me for that. Remember this day fellow fans, the future of our proud club has just gone to the dogs, and if you thought 2003 was bad, expect the same for the next few years.

I cant wait till next season, all hail the new murray hirst, stuart raper.

Fall on your sword club board....you can keep my membership for next season, id rather just show up when the sharks are winning, not losing. I am totally gutted right now and feel totally cheated.

I agree totally. They are a complete disgrace. We seem to have a bunch of children in charge of our club.

The third letter only means dismissal if Ando accepts it as such. If he doesn't accept it there's a couple of ways he can go. One is straight to court. The other is to appeal the content of the letter in the Industrial Relations Tribunal. A winning appeal makes the letter null and void and he still has the job.

Frenzy - or any one else - could you just briefly describe the 3 events that lead to breach notices

Frenzy said:
My guess is he has to go via the IRT. If he accepts the third letter as dismissal he accepts the letter is accurate and that dismissal is warranted - and therefore gets no cash.

Therefore hasn't he effectively accepted the validity of the first 2?

Frenzy said:
Yes sully - it's a frucking mess. Was always going to be. And this is all costing us money as it unfolds.

Not only directly. It's also really hurting our image which also translates into $$$. Wonder what LG think of all of this?

So close we were to the end of our phase of rebuilding and all we see is controversy. Let him finish the job, if we don't make the eight he is gone, if we do make the eight then he is worth keeping anyway. Why do boards think they have to play such a big role these days. We have Steve Rogers and Chris Anderson to run the club, let them do it.

I went to see a play called 'the club' by David Williamson the other night at the Opera House. Very good. It was based on an AFL club but if you changed it to Rugby League I think you could rename it 'the sharks'!

If Anderson isnt there is 2004 that means no Nigel...as stated in the Sunday Telegraph today
