LinkRising Kiwi star Fraser Anderson is set to re-sign with Cronulla for another two years.
The 24-year-old utility, who is a brother of former Warriors players Louis and Vinnie, starred for the Sharks last year and has been in talks with the club about a new contract for some time.
He expects the paperwork will be finalised within a couple of weeks.
"This is the last year of my contract at the club," Anderson said. "I really want to stay at the club and hopefully something will be sorted out in the next couple of weeks. My agent Lance Thompson has been in talks with the Sharks for a while now and I'm confident something will be sorted in the couple of weeks."
Anderson, who still harbours dreams of one day pulling on the black jersey, would have represented Tonga at the World Cup last year if not for a shoulder injury.
During the regular season, he tore a muscle in his shoulder which got progressively worse until it forced him out of the World Cup and onto the surgeon's table.
Good to see we are moving quickly on this guy. I reckon he would have been in hot demand if he'd have played in the world cup.
