Eastwood or Crocker?

hmmmm

That's a bit of a no brainer. Crocker wins everywhere he goes. He'd also fit in with our fast emerging grub profile.

Half of the NRL are in the same boat as Crocker injury wise Vossy. It's just not common knowledge.

Take Simmo for example. He has to spend 5 days in a confessional seeking forgiveness for his Rugby League atrocities each week and he still gets a game.

my thoughts exactly. but like quigs said would love a good centre

Man oh Man whats happening?

We sign Barrett and Matiua and let Anderson go?

WTF?

Sign whining a-holes and get rid of one of our hardest working players?

Jeez, ricky better have an awesome plan! I haven't disliked the team i go for this much since ol' mate tweed's was in the team.

We better get Crocker! i like that rough head!

Disgraceful.

Who will he be replaced with, Fraser has the ability to go back into the centres if we don't have anyone coming through or get injuries during the year.

Not to mention last year was his best year of football and was starting to show some potential.

If you look at our back rowers now, is it not a little bit skinny?

Whilst i agree with quigs about the need for some quality backs, still think this affects our backrows depth.

Well thats bad news. Somebody who does 40 tackles around the ruck & plays 80 minutes now required.

throw Birds 25-30 tackles & 80 minutes & all of a sudden our defense has 160 minutes & 65 tackle deficiency.
Expect a slow start I reckon.

That sucks!

I'll miss Fraser. Even with his fumble hands he was developing into a real player. I can't see him seeing out the 3 years in Japan he is to good for that.

If we don't sign Crocker i'll be miffed

At 600K per season, I can see him lasting .........thats why the Sharks let him go. If they didn't he would have walked & who would blame him.

David Gallop might finally start to realize that the NRL is a pin prick on the sporting world landscape & no one else cares what they say they are going to do. If they challenge Benji in court they will lose big time.

I think Williams has that ability, though I think playing a 2nd rower there should be a last resort.

Agreed, though that was in the back row. His previous year in the centres was less than stellar, which is where he was likely to play this year.

Strongl disagree. We already have Gallen, Toops and Reni, 3 test backrowers all of whom have the capability of going 80mins. In addition we have Williams, Millington, Afamasaga and Bukuya. I think that is depth and quality most teams would kill for.

Did i read it right that Ando is playing with us till june?

In making the decision to release Anderson from the final year of his contract, effective immediately, the Sharks have shown their support for the NRL Board and their decision handed down yesterday.

“There was a request that Fraser play some games this year for the Sharks before leaving mid season to join the Japanese rugby club, however in discussing the situation with Ricky Stuart and the coaching staff, to allow something like this to occur mid season would have been a major disruption to our club, playing group, sponsors and in particular our loyal fans.

“We are also supporting the NRL in regards to their stance against players agreeing to contracts with rivals codes yet attempting to remain in the NRL,” Zappia added.

hmm $600,000 a year. Impossible for him to say no. Impossible for the Sharks to get near that and frankly, in the NRL market, Fraser isn't worth a third of that yet.

Step up Filiga, it's there for the taking
