Just an aside from all our drama, Andrew fifita mentioned in a post match interview ,the closeness of the sharks playing group compared to the tigers and the fact that their is no split groups and that everyone has the same dressing room. WTF is really goin' on with this club.

The situation is this. There is a small core group of players that are Pro-Sheens, because they they are his special projects and there is a large group of players who are not.

Sheens is on the nose and has been for years now with a majority of the players.

He has split the group years ago, and this has caused great disharmony as there is absolutely no merit in his selection processes.

Who knows it could be just sour grapes.. Anyway what i do know is regardless of what some say here WE SHOULD HAVE KEPT HIM!! . Some think he is a bit lazy but he is more an impact player than a workhorse. He could have been on the bench and played 10 minutes instead of a token back who provides no impact.. Like Meaney for instance.
By the way Fifita played 29 minutes last night and made 29 tackles, doesnt appear lazy figures from my view.

You're taking the word of a bloke who could barely put together three coherent sentences and was probably jacked up on adrenaline.

Separate dressing rooms? You believe that? Hahahahahahha, the bloke was probably trying to say separate groups in the dressing room....I'm sure genius Fifita wouldn't be the first person you would have heard about separate dressing rooms from......as if you wouldn't have heard it by now.....not hard to figure that one out....

If he considers he is "brothers" with half of the Sharks dressing room in four months.....then it goes to show a lot of these statements are just coming out from a very bitter mouth. Keep throwing those offloads on your goal line, Andrew and get over it....you're at the Sharks for the dollars...a tough man you are, talking shit on tv about your former "brothers". Loyal stuff, mate.....

Bug and others - do you guys read Womens day or something. I think you should stop the anti-Sheens bullshit stories that are like romance novels. Sheens does plenty to stuff himself up. He doesn't need made up bullshit to make him look bad.

Few players who Sheens has let go ever came back to haunt us......if any.....

You cant say Teo or Bronson Harrison didnt improve ? What about Gibbs , was he worth keeping? Didnt Lafranci also play SOS ?
Did these guys also leave under Sheens? - Cashmere , O'donnel

He's hardly on a million dollars ffs! Anyway how many minutes would Taylor or MoiMoi play ?

He is on close to 300K.

If you think we should have kept him for that coin you are mad.

Fifita hardly played last season, when he did he ran sideways.

Gibbs and Lui are massive losses, Fifita is not.

I'd prefer to have kept Fifita for 300k then have spent 500k on Blair.

But in saying that, I'm not too fussed about Fifita. His loss wouldn't have hurt us at all if we had've retained Gibbs.

He was the glue that kept this rabble together. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he's doing a similar thing at the Sharks now.

Fifita is benefitting from the fact we let Gibbs go with him in a package deal.

If we kept Gibbs and let Fifita go alone, not a single person would be saying he is missed etc.

I have nothing against the kid, good luck to him. But he's far from a finished product and could really go either way. And no way on earth he is worth the coin he's on at the Sharks.

I agree. One of the best things about the Sheens era is we have kept the better players and lost the ones with lesser ability.

Still I think signing Blair and releasing Fifita and Gibbs was a huge mistake. We can overcome this but I don't think Blair is as good a player as either Fifita or Gibbs.

I hope I am wrong because at the moment I'd be happy if he was a better player than either of them.

Fair enough , i honestly didnt realise he was getting those dollars, he isnt worth that just yet. I think if we kept him we would have got him cheaper. As for the sideways running i thought that was after him being shopped around? He seemed to me to be coming along nicely and even getting man of the match against the Knights at Leichhart then the following week he was scraped.

No doubt it stings the young fella being publicly shopped out and then if memory serves me correctly, wasnt part of the deal as Cronulla had the whip hand, they wanted Gibbs in the deal as well? But sometimes you need to move on and I think it will do Fifita good.

Was it good for WT? I doubt it- at least from the viewpoint of losing both Gibbs and Fifita. We could have lost one without a worry but the two was stupid. Just to get Blair who is not playing as good as either one of them, let alone better than them. Oh well, another master stroke by Sheens and co.

The stupid thing was we made the semi's 2 years running and could potentialy have gone all the way , in doing so if there was any improvement on the side it would have been 1 and 7 and not the forwards ..so the wanker destroyed the soul of the club for zero gain really. Lost Fifita,Gibbs while also losing Dwyer and Payten and he thought all that can be filled with kids and Blah :(

I agree that in loosing Gibbs WT lost a character that bound the team together with both effort on the field and humour and mateship off it. Bit I cant quite recall it, but there was somethig aboutt he deal with Cronulla where we basically had to throw our 2 props in to get it across the line. Stupid deal, just to get Blair- a second rower. We loose 2 props for 1 second rower. Props have been our difficulty for endless seasons now. Gibbs was approaching the end of his career, his body is wearing out, but could he have been effective at WT for at least another season. Yes. Fifita was his groomed replacement and we loose him too. Plain silly.

Really sh*ts me that I started this season out feeling positive, and that WT were in for a good year. One quarter of the season gone and all the good vibes have disapperared and the same old feelings have resurfaced. Can WT recover? Yes. Can we do it under Sheens? I doubt it.
