You cant say Teo or Bronson Harrison didnt improve ? What about Gibbs , was he worth keeping? Didnt Lafranci also play SOS ?
Did these guys also leave under Sheens? - Cashmere , O'donnel

Improving is different to winning a premiership or becoming a genuine star of league......Harrison has continued to be average.....Teo plays in a brilliant team so will always look better.....Laffranchi chose to leave and really didn't add anything to the rep scene other than in a very short term capacity.....O'Donnell was a hothead and Cashmere never even made it as a grade player.....

I'd understand if we let Jacob Miller go and he becomes the next Johns.....but Sheens hasn't been wrong in the past.....

No doubt it stings the young fella being publicly shopped out and then if memory serves me correctly, wasnt part of the deal as Cronulla had the whip hand, they wanted Gibbs in the deal as well? But sometimes you need to move on and I think it will do Fifita good.

Was it good for WT? I doubt it- at least from the viewpoint of losing both Gibbs and Fifita. We could have lost one without a worry but the two was stupid. Just to get Blair who is not playing as good as either one of them, let alone better than them. Oh well, another master stroke by Sheens and co.

When Blair fires....will you consider it a master stroke? Or is this going to be "oh, Sheens got lucky again".

Yep - when Blair fires myself and plenty of posters will have egg on our faces. Personally I can't wait until that happens.

I am also cheering Blair on every game he plays for us. I am really digging for him and going extremely easy on him. I think his last two games have been reasonably good.

Still at the end of the day at this point this is probably the clubs biggest stuff up signing wise to date. I hope I'm wrong. I would be much much happier if I was wrong.

Its not the signing of Blair as a person. Its the signing of a second rower, when backrow is one of the positions that WT are never short of home grown able players. I wouldnt care if we spent the coin on a great prop or god forbid a halfback. It just seems a superflous signing that caused undue harm in jettisoning players to accommodate that has not addressed / helped WT known problems one bit. That is what I hold against Teflon.

I hope Blair goes great guns. Will it help WT win a comp with no depth at props and without an expereicned / leading halfback? Nope.

What shits me is that Blair was talked up to be playing prop for us - we get short props and he doesn't sniff it at all.

This (and most) clubs are owned by the members, that means that the team is answerable to the members and speaking for all of us, I reckon all we want is a competitive team. We dont have that now.

Does anyone know the process of members ousting the coach? I know its never been done, but Im sure its possible.

We have a ream of laywers at work and I reckon I could convince one of them to do some pro bono work on this for us, we pay them enough for the shit they do and I cant imagine getting rid of the coach would be that taxing for a decent barrister.

The Wests Tigers merger really isn't your traditional club. Your voting rights really don't exist.

So we let all these dud players go hmmmmmm?????
Who signs them in the first place?

maggies forever said:
I agree that in loosing Gibbs WT lost a character that bound the team together with both effort on the field and humour and mateship off it. Bit I cant quite recall it, but there was somethig aboutt he deal with Cronulla where we basically had to throw our 2 props in to get it across the line. Stupid deal

Cronulla coach Shane Flanagan revealed he called Wests Tigers' bluff in a bid to ensure Andrew Fifita would become a Sharks player in 2012...........

I wish our team would go back to being the shit kickers. The under dogs. The team opposing fans sneak a smile for when they pick up a win. Why? I think we have a team of players who arent used to, and dont have the emotional maturity to handle, the idea of being hated or dis-liked by everyone.

Mate, dont bust yourself up....its not happening for a long long time, when Sheens does step down from coaching he'll walk into a cushy coaching directors role thanks to humpty.....he will appoint whoever replaces him as coach and you can bet your arse it will be someone who answers to him.
No senior freethinking coach with his own ideas in his right mind would come here, with the baggage we have with all the Wests Balmain crap that Sheens has turned so factional it aint funny....even deep pockets Harry T I doubt could lure Hasler or bellamy with a promise of even triple what theyre on now

I'd pay double for my season ticket if Bellamy came to coach us.

Imagine what he could do. Simply sign a decent halfback and with a spine of Tedesco, Benji and Farah he would turn us into the most consistent side in the comp.

Look at what the guy has to work with at Melbourne, aside from the 1, 6, 7 and 9 nearly 90 per cent of that team is filled with average players. But every week he has them up to play.

Woods was the No 1 priority and his outstanding performances this year and last year only confirm his talent. He must be close to SOO selection despite being younger than Fifita. Plays big minutes as well.

I agree but at this point I think Fifita > Blair and Gibbs > Blair.

In the context of the Fifita retention issue, Woods is a far better player and the No 1 priority. Mosese Fotauika will also be a very good player.

Blair is an outstanding talent and will adjust to the Tigers. His teammates need to support him as he does offload. Blair is also far better than Fifita.

I agree but at this point I think Fifita > Blair and Gibbs > Blair.

In terms of right now I would take Woods and BMM over Gibbs and Fifita.

I would take John Morris in the second row over Blair the way he has been performing

I would take a small amount of monkey crap in a zip lock bag over Moltzen

We wanted woods and groat also but sheens kept them and got rid of Fifita and Gibbs. Interesting and I see his point but given you are in a "win now" situation you would think he would of let one of Groat and woods go and kept the experience of say a Gibbs. Fifita is on under 300k and for his potential that's a fair deal especially to get him to a club like ours who had 3 very poor seasons. That money is also off set given we have you guys paying part of Gibbs and the knights paying part of De Gois. Honestly though even with his limited games played Gibbs has been huge for us off the field. Carney and Gallen love him judging by the amount of times they talk about how good of a bloke he is in interviews/twitter.

Don't forget you guys also lost Payton and only added Bell who is more of a prop/2nd rower rather then a out and out prop.

I'd rather a player who put in 100% for consecutive years as opposed to a good bloke who gets wraps on twitter......Gibbs was an above average player but didn't exactly set the world on fire since 2005....if you don't deliver....you can't blame anyone but yourself.
