Once a person does his time they should be considered reformed. However there is a world of difference between saying in a newspaper article im gonna keep my brother on the straight and narrow and scrawling a message of support to a killer to be broadcast unknowingly by the nrl.

Its not a strawman its a direct comparison. See ive debated you a lot surely and therefore i know pretty much every stance you have. So i know you would be frothing at the mouth if say he played for the storm.

I dont think the nrl should be forced into broadcasting support for a guy who just killed a kid for a laugh. If fifita wants to go down to hyde park and yell support for loveridge good luck to him. Its completely different to go and use his platform to broadcast this message though. So if he wanted to hang a huge sign from his house that said FKL that would be all good but i know your thoughts on flags hanging off houses in support of criminals. You said it should be illegal.

Yes he had been drinking heavily that night but i didnt think that was an excuse ?

So people who set out to deliberately hurt other humans are ok to publicly show support for as long as they did a few cones or had a few beers before hand ?

There are reports of him bragging he was going to bash someone that night and he assaulted a string of people before eventually killing kelly.

Ive been pretty drunk before but weirdly ive never gone on an assault rampage through Sydney

I am all for free speech and free association. If he wants to publicly voice support for Loveridge fine, if he wants to go visit him in prison fine but the nrl also should be able to decide what messages they broadcast. I was opposed to pearce getting suspended but this would be a valid thing for the nrl to suspend fifita for. He used their platform to advertise support for a killer

He is the product of his father, a violent dug abusing alcho , id have thought that it was a good thing that a kid like this had someone take an interest in his life.

Maybe fafita will be the difference between him being a continual f**kwit upon release and someone that has remorse and hopefully doesn't attack anyone else.
