It probably did mean free kl but he was never going to tell anyone, especially not now and it will remain unproven. It's only come to light due to the police warning and the media beat up. No crime was committed and he has apologised. Untwist the panties, move on.

It was a while ago, he obviously realised his mistake back then...or was advised to stop.

Excellent, so 8 weeks and 125k as per the punishment handed out to mitchell pearce for not committing a crime and apologising?

"What is the current NRL controversy?" This thread title could be posted every day. It could also be the top line of the whiteboard in the Daily Telegraph sportswriters room.

To think Fifita organised this as a public attempt to free Loveridge is laughable and gives him too much credit. Plus, once he gets the publicity he is supposedly seeking he denies it.

The guy is truly a dope, but get a grip if you want him banned. There are actual women bashers playing every week.

Agree with the bolded part 100% Fifita isn't smart enough to orchestrate something like that.

Fifita is a horrific human being. A genuine degenerate.

The sooner he isn't a part of society, the better.

"Bewary of the company you keep for they are a reflection of who you are, or who you want to be."

They're football players, so I personally am of the belief that anything off the field shouldn't really affect their employment as rugby league players. But, that's me.

I also understand that the game has an image to uphold which needs to be of a favourable one in order to appease it's customers and sponsors.

I don't keep company with people who get aggressive to the point of needing to bash randoms when they drink.

To quote George Costanza "We're living in a society!"
I get that. And it's probably a wise way to live your life.

But if you had coached a young man that ended up a complete tool like this bloke, society (a society, Jerry!) as a whole would be grateful if you tried to steer him away from his f**kwittery.

This may or may not have been what fifita was doing, but it's the reason why these association laws are complete bullshit.

But its assumed Fifita visits him to have a laugh about that time he hit that kid and killed him, and how its bullshit he's locked up.

What's the difference between Loveridge and Packer ?
I guess one is a f**kwit whose act of cowardice killed a bloke and was rewarded with a long stint in prison... and the other is a f**kwit whose act of cowardice just did some bodily damage and was rewarded with an even worse punishment... a contract with the Dragons.

Let's just get this straight.

The bloke you has a convicted sex offender playing for his team starts a thread of outrage over a player who is a moron, but hasn't actually committed an offence.

Seems legit.

I'm no fan of Fifitas, but he knows the kid and used to coach him and it's not like Fifita has condoned what he did or anything of the sort, he's simply supporting a friend in a screwed up situation (admittedly of his own making, but screwed up none the less).

And honestly so long as no crime is suspected to have occurred people should be allowed to spend time with whoever they wish without the police (or anybody else for that matter) getting involved!

Fifita's a wanker of the highest proportions, but he hasn't done anything wrong here and if he's punished for this it'll be a disgrace.

Ahh packer didn't kill anyone...

Lucky guy wasn't he.

Repeated stomping vs one punch , mind you it was ok for the dragons coach and officials to visit him in jail and try to sign him on a contract.

That would be consorting wouldn't it.
