And would have remained unknowing until the tele explained it to the family and the world.

And ????

What is your argument here. The dumb merkin should have used some sense.

An nrl player using his media reach to advertise support for a convicted killer is a news story.

It's not an argument it's a point. A completely different one to the one we all can agree on. That Fifita is a dumb merkin.

And he didn't use his media reach to publicise anything. It was meant to be a secret wink to a mate that remained secret for months. See above re dumb merkin.

It's the media that publicised it and turned it into a story.

Do they even have foxtel in prison?

I thought they went to bed at 3.30pm that rules out all but 2 pm Sunday games and you'd hope it wasn't a close finish.

But again its clearly a news story.

What kind of reporter or editor would pass on a story where a high profile person was sending messages of support to a convicted killer.

They didnt turn it into a story. It is a story

The last message was 4 months ago. Now the outrage comes out. Is Fifita dumb and insensitive, sure. The moral outrage from lowlifes like Wilson and Hooper is pathetic. Where was Tallis calling for James Roberts to be suspended when we went on his latest drunken rampage.

Yes now they have. And the victims' family can thank them for their diligence... and especially for their probable incorrect guess as to what the F stands for.

i think it's more disturbing that Gary Glitter songs have been used at Big Bash games for years and he therefore gets royalties

whenever i've contacted Cricket Australia or journos about it they don't give a f**k

Fair dinkum. We all know if fifita played for any other club the sharks groupies would be calling him to be hung drawn and quartered.

Haha so if an afl player did this you would think the Victorian media should bury the story ?????

Yeah that Sharks supporter Andrew Webster just backing his own team..... Oh wait he supports the dragons.

No Sharks supporter thinks Fifita is an angel. He did a silly thing by writing the message on the strapping. He thought he was supporting a mate but isn't clever enough to see how it would look from the perspective of the victims family.

The usual tabloid hacks are baying for blood. Sharks fans just want some proportion in the response. Idiots like Rebecca Wilson say he should be run out of the game. For writing three letters on his wrist. Seriously.
