The raiders backline in the early 90'ss was just so beautiful to watch. I miss those days, with those deep set spread out backlines, and when all came off to pull off a set pay. I haven't seen such brilliant offensive play since I don't think.

Absolutely! I'll always remember the sweeping back line move in the 94 prelim final against the dogs where Mullins ran 50 metres untouched off the scrum. So deep and timing of everything was superb .

You know who gets forgotten a lot in these discussions?

I never supported his team and the guy is a dickbag of a commentator, BUT Brandy was a good player, real good.

That he was. Cliff Lyons at his best was good to watch too.

It's a close run thing between Langer, Stuart and Johns. I reckon Johns is just ahead, only just

lol, judging by your new nickname, you were what... 12 when Alfie left for England? Rate yourself a bit of a pre-teen football expert?

Which football player that's ever played the game would you not take over a Knights player?
was that aimed at me in any way?

Langer and Stuart played in dominant teams, the raiders and broncos teams of the 90s would rival any rep team today in terms of all round talent. Johns had decent players around him but nothing compared to what Stuart and Langer had. Johns had to do it all himself a lot of the time and when he wasn't there we looked like a reserve grade side.

Johns for sure, he was a special special player. Would prob facilitate an epic mad Monday as well which is another plus.

I could never rate any of these two better than the other as they had different styles and both best halfbacks ever to play the game by my thoughts
