You proved nothing mate.

You quoted national averages when comparing teams that are all located in major cities.

All areas of the biggest city in the country should be above the national average.

That you need to resort to cherry picking like this just hurts your argument.
I'll trust the results of the ABS over your anecdotal opinion.

Cheers.

So the clubs not a working mans club because they’re owned by a Hollywood actor? Not really getting the logic there. What does a clubs owner have anything to do with the demographic of the club’s location?

Besides this club would be gone or would’ve had to merge if it wasn’t for Crowe.

You don't have to work for the dole.

Shit on souffs? If pointing out reality is so upsetting for you then tough luck. Souffs fans can fantasise about their club being something it hasn't been for decades but the facts remain.
The fact is Souths, the bunnies are my club that i supported back when both they & i where working class. I know the area to day has changed but we still play the sort of rugby league The Roosters don't. In my life time, EEasts has been tugby centered. That's why even with all the torts they can't get a fan base.

Nothing anecdotal about cities being more affluent than the country.

You just can't argue what I said
You're anecdotal opinion?

I'm not trying to argue about that. I just provided info from the census that shows Erskineville is no longer a working class suburb.

:joy: Cherry picking much?

Try Redfern,Erskineville, Mascot, Botany etc

We've always been the working class regions of Sydney, whether you realise it or not.

I don’t think you can call Redfern working class today, it’s grtting like Bondai junction with the number of hipsters milling around.

:joy: Because national averages are really relevant when all the teams are located in major cities :joy:
.

Fine, I'll get more stats to show that you're incorrect.
According to the ABS the median weekly household income city wide is $1750, mortgage repayments $2167,degree or higher 28%.

Source:
http://www.censusdata.abs.gov.au/census_services/getproduct/census/2016/quickstat/1GSYD?opendocument

Erskineville median weekly household income is $2480, mortgage repayments $2600, degree or higher 51% .

Source:
http://www.censusdata.abs.gov.au/census_services/getproduct/census/2016/quickstat/SSC11439

So even taking the fact that city incomes are higher than regional or national averages, Erskineville is well above the working class demographic. Delve into the occupational date in the links. Concede you've got this one wrong.

City=more affluent than the countries average.

I'd be surprised that you aren't smart enough to understand that if you could get "your/you're" correct.

Begging me to accept your flawed logic isn't going to work.

City=more affluent than the countries average..

Well yes. That's why I provided Sydney Vs Erskineville statistics

I did use "you're" correctly.... You're reading it incorrectly... Your assumptions need a grammar lesson.

Begging? By providing facts? Nah.

You're trying to say Souths aren't working class compared to other clubs, who are all located in major cities, by quoting national averages.

Every team in the competition is in an area above the national average.

But by all means, continue to ignore that point if you want. Only hurting your own credibility

The "working class" mentality is deeply ingrained into Sths DNA---since 1908!!

It is the reason that Sths have done well & have won many p/ships in all grades that they compete. There is a special strength & toughness which is inherent due to the struggle of its players & most of its members for over 100 yrs.
Sths have flourished with the "working class" tag which I believe is still very much alive!!
Things may have changed on the surface but the DNA remains!!

Working class team owned by a man who gets paid $20m a movie and Richy Rich.

The only thing working class about Souths these days is when it's used for myths and nostalgia purposes.

Jesus, even George Piggins is filthy loaded.
