I certainly got you...
I'm not arguing. I simply posted statistics that compares the Sydney mean without Erskineville. You disagree with the evidence. Talk to the ABS.

Don't bother mate. You can't educate stupid. Let the idiot live in the 1950s. He supports Souffs, the long dead past is all he has.

Love that song--hope Sths supporters aren't lying on a Bed of Nails for too much longer.
I think we are in for a better year as our younger players have some NRL experience under their belts now.

But it's alright doyen.

Once again using souffs as insult. You idiots are all the same. The facts do remain that we were built on the foundation of being a working mans club. I don’t really know what your argument is? Are you pissed off that we claim to be a working mans club when there’s rich areas in South Sydney?

I assume you don’t live in the inner city because if you did, you’d know how f**king difficult it is to get by for most people. If we’re defining working class as people who have to work well over 38 hours a week in manual labour then you’re once again incorrect. Most people have their whole wages go towards paying rent because of how expensive it is.

I speak to many Souths supporters that work in trades and retail that didn’t get the luxury of going to university or finishing school because of their childhood. Drugs, criminal activity, sexual assault were all very common in Redfern and still are in some aspects. These things affect future generations and are still affecting them. Redfern has gotten a lot better than it used to be I’ll give you that, but there are still some really shady areas around.

You can’t really take the tag away of a working mans club because it’s ingrained in the club. You also don’t know what it’s like living in the area so I don’t really know how you can form a reasonable argument. It’s like me arguing what Sydney’s West is actually like when I have no f**king idea. I go out there a few times a year it doesn’t mean I’m a local to the area. If you’re gonna get pissed off about supporters bringing that up then why are you even a staff member on this site? I assume you hate it when we talk about our 21 premierships as well? If you’re gonna get angry at it then don’t come into the Souths forum. It’s not like you actually contribute anything useful.

Btw make up your mind about the souffs insult. We’re either all Centrelink abusing, toothless, drug addicts or higher class posh white collar workers. It really can’t be both otherwise it just contradicts itself.
I learnt long ago you can't get through to him.......

He's a tiger tard..........

Great post though mate.......... faultless.....

He's just here to stink our forum up and try get someone banned.....

When all is well in our forum for the most part they comemon and try and make it explode in here.........

Anyhow there is one thing we can make out of all this and it's thanks to them for their continual interest in The Pride of the League...... the most successful club ever in NRL History.........

They are jealous of that deep down well and truly......

The Tigers joint didn't fight and march, they took the easy way out with no fight....... that's what they are based upon..............

The "working class" mentality is deeply ingrained into Sths DNA---since 1908!!

It is the reason that Sths have done well & have won many p/ships in all grades that they compete. There is a special strength & toughness which is inherent due to the struggle of its players & most of its members for over 100 yrs.
Sths have flourished with the "working class" tag which I believe is still very much alive!!
Things may have changed on the surface but the DNA remains!!
Bravo Doyen.....

He may be an old codger but he's the smart one on this forum........

Isn't it fact that less than 20% of SSFC members actually live in the South Sydney district?

And Souths can't claim exclusivity on working class roots as the whole game was created in Australia for the fair go and pay for play of RL players. Balmain, Norths (poor area, low socio-economic conditionx prior to the bridge in 1932 - just saying), Newtown, Glebe...all working areas. Fug me, Easts were too. Souths were no different.

And Souths downturn in the 1970s coincided with a decline in the working class and the lowering of socio-economic conditions in the 1980s. That's why they left Redfern for the SFS. That's why they struggled to keep players from 1990. They were almost the last to move in to the 21st century because of a pig headed "but we're Souths, Pride of the League". Whilst everyone pulled up their sox Souths lagged until it was too late. Hell...even the 2006 sale was mired in bullshit and myth.

Funny how Piggins and Coote and Sattler were well earning business men with lots of dosh but Souths as a team and club couldn't.

Don't be filthy at Angus. Be filthy at the club for letting him go. But that seems to be a trend now. Walker, Keary, Brown, Angus...

He's had it fused time and time again so I think he's just getting sick of it.

The club would've done everything to keep him, in the end, it was his decision.

Yeah, no.

Souths have been an abject failure for most of the history of the NRL
..and Easts have won 2 premierships in 40 years despite having the combination of more money, power, influence and ruthless attitude than any other club.
I honestly believe that Easts have been the greatest under achievers of the modern era.

The West Tigers have been around since 1999 ie. less than 20 yrs.
Sths have maintained their identity for the duration!
